Season of the Worthy brought long-awaited PvP competitive mode –Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2. While there are some who are not quite happy with how this mode is implemented and the rewards, there are definitely those who are enjoying this power-enabled PvP mode. Speaking of PvP, today we are going to discuss the top 5 weapons you can use in Destiny 2 PvP.
5. SUROS Regime
As we all know at this point, Auto Rifles got a significant buff for this weapon, mainly 600RPM ARs. If you haven’t used this exotic weapon yet, this comes with a unique exotic trait that can increase or decrease this weapon’s rate of fire.
In PvP, you should be using the ‘Spinning Up’ perk, as it increases the rate of fire after firing this weapon for a while which makes this weapon a killing machine inside PvP.
Perks:
Perk | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
SUROS Legacy | Intrinsic | The bottom half of each magazine deals bonus damage and has a chance to return health on kill. |
Spinning Up | Trait | Holding down the trigger increases rate of fire. |
4. Astral Horizon
Astral Horizon is another kinetic shotgun added this season (Season of the Worthy) as a Trials of Osiris weapon. You can currently get this shotgun by winning three matches in Trials of Osiris this weekend.
Stats wise, you should be looking out for a roll that has Opening Shot and Quickdraw. Since it’s been made available in Destiny 2, Astral Horizon has been one of the most-used shotguns in PvP.

3. Mindbender’s Ambition

Perks:
Perk | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Opening Shot | Trait | Improved accuracy and range on the opening shot of attack |
Rampage | Trait | Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x. |
2. Revoker
Revoker is a sniper rifle that was added as a pinnacle weapon in Season of Opulence. It’s an Aggressive Frame sniper rifle that comes with a perk which is mainly for PvP-only.
Whether it’s Trials of Osiris or normal Crucible, Revoker can be really useful because you don’t necessarily have to worry about ammo if you miss a shot.
Perks:
Perk | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Snapshot Sights | Trait | Faster time to aim down sights. |
Reversal of Fortune | Trait | Missing a shot returns the bullet to the magazine after a short duration. |
1. Hard Light
There’s no denying that the current state of PvP in Destiny 2 is no less than the Laser Tag (back in 2017). With Auto Rifles getting buffed in Season of the Worthy, Hard Light is one of the top weapons you can use inside Destiny 2 PvP right now. Hard Light is an exotic auto rifle in the Energy slot.
The main benefit this weapon has is ‘no damage falloff’ meaning this weapon’s damage numbers don’t decrease with the distance which is incredibly useful.
Perks:
Perk | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Volatile Light | Intrinsic | Rounds fired from this weapon have no damage falloff, over-penetrate targets, and ricochet off hard surfaces. Projectile damage increases after bounce. |
The Fundamentals | Trait | Holding changes this weapon’s damage type, cycling between Solar, Arc, and Void. |
