Update 21/4/2020: It looks like Tim Willits has deleted his tweet in which he implied that there will be more Crysis remastered in the future. Luckily, we have captured the screenshot of his tweet which can be viewed below:
Original Story: On April 16, 2020, Crytek officially revealed that Crysis Remastered which was originally released in 2007 is getting a remaster for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and for the first time, Nintendo Switch. Prior to the official reveal, there has been some solid evidence from the official Crysis website which pretty much confirmed that Crysis Remastered is on its way. Many Crysis fans are wondering if there will be other Crysis remasters coming after the first one. Well, today we might have an answer to that.
Tim Willits, Creative Chief Creative Officer at Saber Interactive, tweeted how he always loved Crysis games. “I always loved Crysis games, and it’s exciting to work with Crytek to bring these games to new audiences,” Willits said in his tweet.
Following up, he added another tweet saying, “We will be talking about the remasters more soon. I’m glad people are excited.” The thing to notice in both of these tweets is how he mentioned “games” and “remasters” as if there will be more than one Crysis Remastered coming to current-gen consoles and PC.

That’s not all. From Crytek’s press release, it states, “Crysis Remastered will focus on the original game’s single-player campaigns,” and “Starting this summer, Crysis Remastered will be available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and for Nintendo Switch.” I have a feeling that this “Crysis Remastered” will be the standing point for the trilogy and that other Crysis games will be added to this Remaster making it the “Remastered Collection” similar to the Master Chief Collection.
Earlier this year, there was a rumor going around about the Crysis Trilogy Remastered which includes Crysis 1, 2, and 3, coming sometime in 2020. That might actually end up coming true. There’s another big possibility that a new installment in the Crysis franchise is in development for next-gen consoles and PC, and that these remasters are just there to hype up and build trust in the Crysis franchise for new potential customers. Crysis Warhead which came after the first installment in 2008 may also get a remaster in the future.
As of now, there’s only one Crysis game that’s officially getting remastered. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
Crysis Remastered is coming soon in the Summer of 2020.
