A new Marvel Rivals leak may have revealed six upcoming characters in active development, following the launch of Season 4.
Marvel Rivals’ Season 4 update is officially live, bringing the celestial warrior Angela into the mix as a brand-new Vanguard hero. She comes armed with a spear, a shield, and flight abilities. But that’s not all, Daredevil is next in line. He’s expected to join the roster on October 10th as part of the Season 4.5 update.
Now that Season 4 is out, dataminers wasted no time digging through the latest files. And as of last week, one of the most well-known sources in the community, X0XLEAK, shared new info that hints at who could be joining the fight in future updates, possibly starting with Season 5.
In this article we’ll talk about all of the newly leaked (and recently updated in the game files) characters coming to Marvel Rivals in the future.
Multiple New Marvel Rivals Characters Appear to Be in Active Development
In a new post shared on their official X (Twitter) account, X0XLEAK listed six characters that now appear to be in active development as of the Season 4 update.
Here’s the full list of names mentioned:
- Professor X
- Gambit (replacing a previously leaked character, Jia Jing)
- Elsa Bloodstone (appears to replace Paste-Pot Pete)
- Colossus
- Locus
- Rogue
Some of these characters were already floating around in earlier leaks, but this update gives a clearer picture of who’s actually being worked on right now. The fact that older names like Jia Jing and Paste-Pot Pete may have been replaced by more familiar characters like Gambit and Elsa Bloodstone is also a notable change.
X0XLEAK also shared a bit of a cautionary note: not everything found in the files is guaranteed to make it into the game. “Because of recent developments, I would like to remind everyone that some of these names might not show up like we want them to,” they said.
Apart from that, there have already been early leaks about Marvel Rivals Season 5, claiming that the theme of this upcoming season will be “love and the eternal touch of romance.”
As with any leak and rumor, we suggest taking everything with a grain of salt until officially confirmed by either NetEase Games or Marvel Games.
Season 4 just launched, so it’s probably going to be a while before we hear official confirmation about who the next two heroes will be after Daredevil. Still, this gives us a solid idea of where the game might be headed in the next couple of seasons.
