NetEase has revealed Destiny Rising’s six-month roadmap, confirming new seasons, a tower-defense mode, a new campaign, the Red Sea Rift destination, and major system changes coming in 2026.
NetEase just dropped a massive update for Destiny Rising, giving players a clear look at what’s ahead over the next six months, and there’s a lot to look forward to. As Season 2 kicks off this week, the studio has outlined what’s coming not just this month but all the way into early 2026, including new seasons, endgame updates, a brand-new destination, and even a tower-defense game mode.
The roadmap arrives alongside a new development post that talks about ongoing system changes and what the team is doing to address player feedback since launch. It’s one of the biggest info drops since Destiny Rising was released back in August and gives fans a much better idea of where the game is heading.

The dev update also addressed one of the game’s most debated systems, Pinnacle Energy. Originally meant to help balance rewards between casual and hardcore players, it ended up feeling restrictive for many.
NetEase says it has a new version in the works that will offer more freedom and fewer limits, arriving with the first major update early next year. The studio plans to share more details and collect player feedback before the changes go live.
“We believe this new solution will let players enjoy all Destiny: Rising has to offer with greater freedom and fewer restrictions, and provide a more enjoyable looter-shooter experience, while still maintaining balance between players of different time investment levels” the dev said.
This update lands at an interesting time for the Destiny franchise as a whole. Over in Destiny 2, players are still waiting for Bungie to publish its own long-promised roadmap, one the studio recently apologized for delaying. Meanwhile, Destiny Rising seems to be moving full speed ahead with clear plans through early 2026.
