Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 leaks hint at Rogue’s tank focused kit, Ultron buffs, Immortal Beast and Grandmaster skins, and more ahead of the mid season update.
Marvel Rivals Season 5, titled “Love is a Battlefield”, kicked off on November 14 and runs through January 16, bringing a honeymoon themed story for Gambit and Rogue under the watch of the Elders of the Universe. Gambit arrived as the headline hero at the start of the season, alongside a new battle pass and new map additions.
In game, Gambit is a Strategist who plays as a flexible support and damage hybrid. His kit revolves around card based abilities that both hurt enemies and heal allies, with Ragin’ Royal Flush as his Ultimate, locking on to an ally, healing them, cleansing debuffs and pushing both into a powered up state with bonus damage and faster Ultimate gain.
Season 5.5 is now just around the corner, with NetEase confirming a December 12 launch that will finally make Rogue playable for everyone. As of writing, NetEase has not yet published full Season 5.5 patch notes on the official site or the usual patch hubs.
Even so, we already have a good idea of what might be coming thanks to new leaks.
Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 Leaks Reveal New Details
The new information comes from a well-known Marvel Rivals leaker and dataminer, X0XLEAK. According to them, Rogue will arrive in Season 5.5 as a Vanguard tank who can tap into other heroes’ abilities, keeping her fantasy of stealing powers very much intact. Her Ultimate is described as draining enemy Ultimate charge, with extra effects on top of that. She has a Health stat of 675 and a Move Speed of 600.
The leak also teases new team-up abilities for Season 5.5, including Psylocke with Cloak & Dagger, Emma Frost with Luna Snow, and a three-way combo for Gambit, Rogue, and Magneto. Ultron is set to get some love as well, gaining a second drone alongside more unnamed buffs.

There also appear to be a bunch of new cosmetic items coming. Season 5.5 is said to add a Capwolf skin for Captain America, a classic Mark 1 suit for Iron Man, and a Savage Land-themed skin for Rogue. Additionally, the details reveal that the Immortal Beast collection will roll out for Wolverine, Iron Fist, Angela, and Storm, while a separate “Grandmaster’s Champions” set covers Human Torch, Moon Knight, Angela, and Emma Frost. There are also new Twitch drops tied to Iron Fist.

As always, none of this is confirmed until NetEase publishes official patch notes. Even if XOXLEAK has been on point before, this is still leak territory, so take everything with a grain of salt.
On top of all that, Marvel Rivals is in the middle of its anniversary celebrations, with a Black Friday Blowout sale, special events and an 18v18 mode, plus a new Psylocke gacha style mini game that hands out a limited time Daring Daifuku bundle and extends the Marvel Zombies PvE mode into January.
