Ubisoft has just wrapped up their first UbiForward with some amazing gameplay trailers for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and many more. During the stream, we saw Phil Spencer confirming that Watch Dogs Legion will support the Xbox Smart Delivery feature which will allow players to purchase the game once and play it on any Xbox One or Series X with no extra cost.
According to the Ubisoft Store, Watch Dogs Legion will indeed support a free upgrade feature for the PlayStation 5.
“Purchase Watch Dogs Legion on PlayStation®4 or Xbox One and upgrade your game to the next-gen version (PlayStation®5 or Xbox Series X) at no additional cost.”
But keep in mind that if you’re thinking of purchasing a disc for this game with a digital-only version of PlayStation 5, you wouldn’t be able to play the game for free.
If you’ve missed the Ubisoft Forward live stream, worry not! We’ve compiled a list of every game announcement from the event, make sure to check them out here.
The game will release on November 29, 2020, for the current-gen with a next-gen release window coming soon. You can pre-order your copy from the Ubisoft store here.
