A new Borderlands 4 glitch gives players unlimited ammo on any weapon. Here’s how it works and what you need to pull it off.
Borderlands 4 is officially here, and it has everything longtime fans expect: over-the-top dialogues, ridiculous guns, and, of course, tons and tons of loot. This time around, players can step into the boots of four distinct Vault Hunters: Rafa, Vex, Amon, and Harlowe, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles that cater to brawlers, tech-heads, snipers, and everything in between.
As always, the real hook in Borderlands is the loot grind. Players grind powerful Legendary and set weapons, farm bosses for dedicated drops, and push higher-endgame tiers to score gear that makes the next fight easier, or way more fun.
But what if you could skip the grind and go full god-mode? That’s exactly what one new glitch lets you do.
New Borderlands 4 Glitch Allows You To Get Infinite Ammo
A new glitch in Borderlands 4 is letting players fire endlessly without ever burning through a single bullet. We’re talking full-on infinite ammo, not just for guns, but also for underbarrels and even ordnance. It works on any Vault Hunter, and once you’ve got the right gear, it only takes a minute or two to set up. (via iSeraph)
Here’s how it works and what you’ll need to try it yourself.
What you need:
To pull this off, you’ll need two things:
- Enhancement: Free Charger – A 30% “don’t consume ammo” Enhancement for Order-manufacturer weapons.
- Free Charger: When firing from Maximum Charge, Guns with Order-licensed parts have a 30% Chance to make the next shot’s Charge Time and Ammo cost to 0.
- An Order weapon with a Ripper underbarrel, preferably one that you charge once and then it fires fully automatic.
How the glitch works
Every time you reload an Order weapon with the 30% Enhancement, there’s a chance the next magazine won’t trigger the usual charge-up animation. During that specific magazine, if you fire and the ammo counter doesn’t go down, swap weapons immediately. If timed right, the new gun you switch to will also fire without consuming ammo.
Once it’s active, the glitch sticks, meaning you can swap weapons freely and keep the effect going.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how this works:
- Equip the Order Enhancement that gives a 30% chance to not consume ammo.
- Use an Order weapon with a Ripper underbarrel. (charge-once, full-auto preferred)
- Reload and watch for a mag that doesn’t trigger the charge-up animation.
- Fire during that magazine and look for a shot that doesn’t drain ammo.
- As soon as that happens, immediately swap weapons.
- If the glitch didn’t stick, repeat the process.
- You now have infinite ammo. Enjoy melting bosses.
Gearbox hasn’t patched this glitch yet, so if you want to farm bosses or tear through Wildcard Missions with nonstop firepower, now’s your chance.
Apart from this, there’s been a lot of heated discussion around the performance of Borderlands 4, especially on PC. Recently, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford chimed in, saying the game runs best at 1440p and that trying to force 4K just isn’t worth the frame drops for most people. He also recommends disabling volumetric fog and ray tracing, and turning on DLSS for smoother gameplay.
