Here’s how to get the A Sudden Death shotgun in Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine, along with our recommended PvE and PvP god rolls.

With Rite of the Nine releasing, three dungeons and their loot pools are being refreshed. These dungeons are Prophecy, Ghosts of the Deep, and Spire of the Watcher. Several weapons are coming back with a spicy new set of perks. One of these weapons is A Sudden Death

A Sudden Death is an Aggressive Frame Void shotgun from the Prophecy dungeon. It has some very powerful PvP perks, as well as some interesting perk combinations that make it excel in PvE as well.

How to Get A Sudden Death in Destiny 2

A Sudden Death can be obtained by completing the Prophecy dungeon during the Rite of the Nine event. Loot from this event can be attuned, similar to how Onslaught loot worked in the Into The Light release last year. Attunement can be done at the Emissary of the Nine in the social space for the event.

Each weapon in Rite of the Nine has its own small quest, which rewards you with one free drop upon clearing the dungeon.

Some recommended weapons for the Prophecy dungeon are: Lord of Wolves for the first boss and The Queenbreaker for the final boss.

Rite of the Nine weapons also feature a new Origin Trait called Gravity Well: Reloading this weapon automatically gathers nearby ammo.

Destiny 2 A Sudden Death PvP God Roll

While Aggressive Frame shotguns have been overshadowed by Precision Frames, this frame still packs a solid punch. A little less handling than a Precision for a stronger hit. Luckily, A Sudden Death comes with a top-tier handling perk and Opening Shot to make it even more consistent.

Here is our recommended roll for the weapon:

ColumnPerks
BarrelCorkscrew Rifling (+5 Range, +5 Stability, +5 Handling)
MagazineAccurized Rounds (+10 Range)
Trait (3rd Column)Threat Detector: Increased reload, stability, and handling when enemies are in close proximity
