Destiny 2 Echoes Act 3 Artifact Perks
In this weekly This Week In Destiny blog post, Bungie revealed the five new Artifact perks coming to Destiny 2 with the final act of episode Echoes. These will go live along with the launch of the Act 3 next week on Tuesday.
Below is the full list of new Artifact perks in Destiny 2 Echoes Act 3:
- Overload Auto Rifle: Uninterrupted fire from your equipped Auto Rifles grants bullets that stun combatants, delaying ability energy regeneration and lowering combatant damage output. Strong against Overload Champions. Additionally, Auto Rifles are always overcharged when this modifier is active.
- Authorized Mod: Charged Up: The energy cost of the Charged Up mod is significantly discounted.
- Sustained Fire: Continuously damaging combatants with an Auto Rifle grants you damage resistance.
- Targeting Autoloader: While you have an Auto Rifle equipped, defeating combatants reloads your equipped weapon and temporarily increases weapon damage. Awards bonus progress when dealing final blows while surrounded.
- Shock and Awe: When you have an Arc or Prismatic subclass equipped, Arc final blows while you are amplified summon a burst of lightning that damages and jolts targets.
While the story of this episode is interesting, and there are definitely new weapons, armor, cosmetics, and new activities to grind, the delivery structure received a lot of criticism from fans who were frustrated by the heavy time-gating of content.
Many players felt that the pacing of the episode was too slow, with key story moments and activities being drip-fed over several weeks instead of being available all at once.

Bungie has addressed this issue, assuring players that the story beats for the next episode, Revenant, will be released simultaneously without time-gating.
In addition to that, Echoes Act 3 is also introducing a brand-new exotic mission that’s one of the biggest in Destiny’s history, according to assistant game director, Robbie Stevens.
