Destiny 2 Episode Echoes Act 3 is currently underway, featuring weekly story updates. Bungie has introduced a new exotic mission titled “Encore,” described as one of the largest exotic missions created for Destiny by the studio.
Encore, like other exciting missions in the game, is filled with a plethora of secrets waiting to be uncovered. From hidden collectibles and secret chests to two unique variations of the mission, there are numerous surprises and challenges to be discovered.
In this guide, we’ll talk about how to find all Vex Countermands collectibles in the new Encore exotic mission.
Destiny 2 Encore Vex Countermands Collectibles Location: “Identify Friend/Foe” Triumph
There are a total of seven Vex Countermands collectibles located inside the Encore mission. Let’s see where each of them is located. These collectibles are tied to a secret in-game triumph called “Identify Friend/Foe.” Collecting all seven collectibles will complete this triumph.
Important note: Keep an ear out for a proximity alert that lets you know when you’re close to a Vex Countermand collectible.
Vex Countermand #1
The first collectible is located in the starting area of the mission. Simply drop down into the giant sphere on the far right side as usual. Instead of jumping ahead, drop down again through the small opening that will take you to the Vex waterfall.
You will find the first Vex Countermand collectible on the right ledge outside. Collect to progress the triumph.
Vex Countermand #2
After passing through the purple room, before reaching the first main puzzle encounter, you will pass an open area with a few enemies. In this area, look for a somewhat hidden ledge on the top right.
Jump onto this ledge and you’ll find the second Vex Countermand collectible. Collect to progress the triumph.
Vex Countermand #3
The third collectible is located in the circular chamber with a pool of Vex milk at the bottom. After using the first lift, you’ll spot the third Vex Countermand on the ledge directly ahead of you.
Collect to progress the triumph.
Vex Countermand #4
After entering the blue room just before the first boss fight encounter, make sure to look behind the portal you entered from to find the fourth collectible.
You’ll see the Vex Countermand on a ledge. Jump across to collect to progress triumph.
Vex Countermand #5
The fifth collectible is located in the first boss arena. In the area where the boss fight starts, go towards the far left of the map, past the portal.
You’ll find this Vex Countermand behind some bushes, next to the giant wall. Collect to progress the triumph.
Vex Countermand #6
The sixth collectible can be found in the area with a big dome-shaped building in the middle. Simply go inside the broken building, and you’ll find this Vex Countermand collectible on the left side of it.
Collect to progress the triumph.
Vex Countermand #7
The final Vex Countermand collectible can be found in the next area with a Vex portal on the right side and a cliff to the left. Look for the seventh collectible on top of this cliff.
Once you collect it, you will complete the Identify Friend/Foe triumph.
