Here’s a list of all the new exotic weapons and armor coming in Destiny 2 Episode Heresy.
Destiny 2’s highly anticipated Episode Heresy officially begins next week on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Following the Vex-themed Episode Echoes and the Scorn-focused Episode Revenant, Bungie is bringing players back to a Hive-centric storyline with Heresy.
Like the previous episodes and seasons, Heresy is packed with fresh content for players to try out next week, including new activities, new weapons and armor, secrets, a new Exotic mission, and more. On top of this, players can expect an array of new Exotic weapons and armor, each featuring unique perks designed to shake up gameplay.
In this article, we’ll take a closer look at all the new Exotic gear debuting in this episode and their perks.
Destiny 2 Episode Heresy: List Of All Exotics
One of the highlights of Episode Heresy is the introduction of a brand-new Exotic weapon: Lodestar, an Arc Trace Rifle that uses Primary ammo.
Here’s a breakdown of all the confirmed Exotics arriving in Episode Heresy:
- Barrow-Dyad – Strand Submachine Gun
- Lodestar – Primary Ammo Arc Trace Rifle
Note
Bungie has confirmed Episode Heresy will not feature any new exotic armor. Learn more about it here.
Barrow-Dyad Perks
- Panic Response: This weapon generates blight as it deals damage. While not firing, blight depletes, and the magazine is gradually refilled. Reload the weapon to convert stored blight into Blighted Seekers.
- Taken Divergence: This weapon resonates with your choices.
- Hitting three different targets generates a large amount of blight. Blighted Seekers bore through targets.
Lodestar Perks
- Starlight Beam: This weapon fires a low-intensity Arc beam with enhanced stability and accuracy.
- Arc Alignment: Dealing Arc damage from any source aligns the battery’s coil. When alignment is complete, press [R] to disengage the safety and enable the hip-fired Starlight Beam to apply Jolt to any targets damaged for a short time. Aim down sights to slow the rate at which the battery drains.
In addition to the new Exotics, Bungie has shared a preview of the upcoming Artifact in Heresy. Called the Tablet of Ruin (a fitting name, don’t you think?), it features some really interesting perk combinations. Curious to learn more? Check out our full breakdown in this dedicated article here.
Apart from that, Destiny 2 is also getting a new crossover, this time with Star Wars. Yes, you read that right. The newly revealed armor will be available for purchase next week when Heresy launches.
