A new Destiny 2 leak has revealed Guardian Games 2026 armor ornaments, event dates, Rushdown, and possible weapons ahead of Bungie’s official reveal.

Destiny 2 is in a pretty quiet place right now, and players can feel it. Bungie recently confirmed that its next major update, previously called Shadow and Order, has been delayed to June 9, 2026 while the studio makes large revisions and even changes the name.

Bungie also said that the update is being expanded with features like Weapon Tier Upgrading, wider Tiered Gear support, Pantheon 2.0 (which was already confirmed last year), and Tier 5 Exotic Armor stats.

That’s coming months from now, what’s coming very soon is… Guardian Games. Bungie has already confirmed that the annual event starts March 24, and last week’s TWID said the studio plans to share more information on Guardian Games in this week’s update.

But before Bungie gets to that official reveal, it looks like Xbox may have shown some of the event early through Destiny 2’s Events section.

Based on the screenshots (thanks, sentinel0300 and westsidebykeshi), Guardian Games 2026 will apparently run from March 24, 2026, through May 14, 2026. That is interesting because May 14 lands on a Thursday, which is not the usual weekly reset timing Destiny players would expect. So while March 24 lines up with Bungie’s official date, the end date should be taken with a grain of salt.

The same Xbox event page also appears to confirm that Rushdown is back. The event description says Guardian Games returns with Rushdown, describing it as a high-stakes boss rush where players race through rotating encounters.

“Guardian Games returns with Rushdown, a high-stakes boss rush where players race through rotating encounters,” the event description reads.

Then there is the armor. The leaked promo art appears to show this year’s class ornament sets, with a red Titan look, a blue Hunter set, and a gold Warlock set. The style seems to lean into the usual class-inspired theme, with the Titan armor looking lion-themed, the Hunter set tied to a snake motif, and the Warlock armor taking on an eagle-like design.

On the weapons side, the details come from the API, which mentions two possible new event weapons: Triple Laureate, a Stasis aggressive frame hand cannon, The Beacon, a Solar rapid-fire fusion rifle, and an unnamed Trace Rifle, which we can see in the leaked promo art.

Still, take all of this with a grain of salt until Bungie makes it official. The March 24 start date is confirmed, but the end date is still very much up in the air. Usually, these annual events run for three to four weeks. So if that’s the case with this year’s Guardian Games event, it’ll likely conclude on April 14 or April 21.

With Bungie already saying more Guardian Games info is coming in this week’s TWID, we likely will not have to wait long for the full picture.
