Destiny 2 Episode Revenant Act 2 is dropping next week, bringing massive Super buffs, new exotic armor tweaks, and weapon changes.

Bungie has just revealed a preview of the upcoming mid-season update 8.1.5 for Destiny 2 ahead of Episode Revenant Act 2, which is set to launch next week on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

This new Act will bring a ton of content, including a reimagined Tomb of Elders activity, new weapons, artifact perks, and the continuation of the Fikrul and the Scorn storylines. In addition, this year’s Dawning event will also be going live in December, adding celestial space dragon-themed armor sets to the game.

But today, the spotlight is on the new sandbox changes Bungie has just revealed, focusing on significant buffs to Supers, updates to exotic armor, and a few weapon tweaks.

Roaming Supers Getting a Major Buff in Destiny 2 Revenant Act 2

This week’s This Week in Destiny blog post outlined some exciting changes coming in the Revenant Act 2 update, aiming to breathe new life into several underused roaming Supers and tweak a few Exotics that have been struggling in the current sandbox.

The biggest change coming in Act 2 is a massive buff to roaming Supers. According to Bungie’s sandbox team, all roaming Supers will now gain 3x more Super energy when damaging PvE enemies. Additionally, roaming Supers will deal 30-55% more damage against Champions.

Below is the list of Supers that are getting these buffs in Act 2:

  • Hunter Supers: Arc Staff, Golden Gun (non-Celestial Nighthawk), Spectral Blades, Silkstrike.
  • Titan Supers Fists of Havoc, Burning Maul (non-Pyrogale Gauntlets), Hammer of Sol, Sentinel Shield, Glacial Quake, Bladefury.
  • Warlock Supers: Stormtrance, Daybreak, Nova Warp, Winter’s Wrath.

In addition the these buffs, Bungie is nerfing Warlock’s Storm’s Edge super:

  • Storm’s Edge:
    • Reduced height of damage impulse from 5m to 3.75m.
    • Reduced damage resistance against players from 53% to 45%, both on cast and during the spin attack.
    • Moved from tier 3 to tier 1 Super cooldown.
