Destiny Rising just added a wild new feature that lets players turn real-life dance videos into custom emotes.
Destiny Rising keeps getting better. The game, developed by the Chinese tech giant, NetEase Games, was released in August, and since then, the devs have added a ton of features that fans have been asking for years in Destiny 2. Things like fishing, sparrow racing, an actual in-game photo mode, and many more.
And now, it just got a whole lot more personal. Destiny Rising has added a really cool new feature: a full-on custom emote system that lets players upload their own dance videos and turn them into in-game emotes. Yes, you read that right.

How Destiny Rising’s Custom Emotes Work
This new feature, called “Stellar Dance,” was added on October 23, right after the weekly maintenance. You’ll find it in the character menu under the Appearance tab, then inside the Emotes section. There are two main areas: “Featured” shows off some of the top community-made emotes, and “My Creations” is where your own custom dances will show up.
The only requirements are that the video be under 50MB, under 30 seconds long, and in a supported format like mp4, mov, avi, or mkv. You can try up to 10 creations per day. If you want a full step-by-step guide on how to create your own custom emotes in Destiny Rising, check out our dedicated guide here.

This feature went live yesterday, and fans wasted no time getting creative. On Twitter, Reddit, and Discord, players are showing off all sorts of custom dances, from the Deadpool and Wolverine intro to the iconic dance sequence from Netflix’s Wednesday series.

As someone who has kept up with alot of Video Capture to Animation tools.
How is some mobile games version of it that takes about 30 seconds in total, better than paid versions? Seriously impressive tech in Destiny Rising. pic.twitter.com/fpJnzez3CI
Great success, NetEase!!

This all comes just a few weeks after Destiny: Rising passed $9 million in revenue and hit 2 million downloads, according to a report from Naavik. It’s still considered a modest launch for a NetEase title. On the other side, it looks like NetEase has started issuing DMCA takedowns targeting datamined assets and modders.
NetEase has also added some new characters to the game, including Helhest, Rossi-11, Estella, and more.

What do you think of this new feature? Would you upload your own dance emote? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
