Destiny Rising September 11 Update Patch Notes: Estela, Umeko, Season of Daybreak, UI and Combat Fixes

Here are the complete patch notes for Destiny Rising‘s September 11 update that went out earlier today.

Destiny: Rising just dropped its second post-launch update after today’s four-hour maintenance. Similar to the last update, NetEase is sending out 200 Lumia Leaves as compensation (check your in-game mail). If you played in the last week and had an account before maintenance, you should see the message pop up.

This update adds two new characters (Estela and Umeko), new limited-time events, and the start of Season 1: Season of Daybreak. There’s a big round of fixes and quality-of-life tweaks, too. Things like controller prompts, slide control, and a bunch of activity and weapon issues.

New Characters

  • Mythic Character: Estela, Ahamkara Bane
    • Element: Solar

    • Weapons: Scout Rifle, Sniper Rifle

New Events

  • Limited-Time Draw: “The Sun’s Shadow
    • Starts after maintenance on September 11, runs 28 days.
    • The featured Mythic is guaranteed to be Estela (pity shared across all limited-time draws).
    • Legendary pool includes Kabr, Ikora, and Umeko.
    • Trial version available in a specified activity with rewards on clear.
  • Limited-Time Event: “Benediction Day
    • 9/11 to 10/4
    • Collect Crystalline Sprouts for blessings and a random discount on Estela’s “Daughter of Spring” ornament.
    • Event shop lets you trade Crystalline Blossoms for a transmat effect, emote, and chat emojis.
    • Complete the full set to earn the “Daughter of Spring” dynamic emblem.

New Shop Additions

  • Estela’s Mythic ornaments: “Dragon Slayer” and “Dragon’s Crown.
  • Estela’s Mythic relic ornaments: “Thorny Medal” and “Sinner’s Spine.
  • Dragon Slayer Bundle, includes Dragon Slayer + Thorny Medal at 20% off (limited time).
  • New Legendary ornaments: Hazy Dream, Woodland Walker, Unending Grudge, Dark Moss, Misty Violets.

Season 1: Season of Daybreak

  • Season window: September 11 to November 6
  • Seasonal Modifier: Once the season starts, the seasonal modifier will be changed to Void and Solar. Combatants in The Expanse, Calamity Ops, and Challenge difficulty activities will have Void and Solar shields. Void and Solar characters and weapons are recommended.
  • Seasonal Pact Available: The S1 Pact, Haven Crest, grants Lightbearers powerful enhancements. Once the season starts, every 20,000 Team XP gained grants 1 Pact Point, which can be used to upgrade the enhancement.
  • Season Engrams Available: S1 Season of Daybreak Engrams will now be available for Lightbearers to acquire and decrypt. Season of Daybreak Engrams contain multiple season-exclusive cosmetics, including “Crystalline Mystery,” the Furies III seasonal ornament, Daybreak Decals, and more.
  • Seasonal Collection: Acquire all collectibles available during Season of Daybreak to receive the season-exclusive “Daybreak” emblem and unlock the Season Sigil for your Homepage.

Optimizations & Adjustments

UI & interaction

  • Login Screen: Improved the dynamic prompt for logging in.
  • Controller: Improved operation prompts and guidance.
  • Ghost Menu: Improved the UI prompts for unlocking Acclaim bonuses.
  • Weapons: Improved guidance for the weapon comparison feature.
  • Weapons: Improved the system’s overall visuals.
  • Black Market: Improved the process for selling Exotic Infusion Cores and added a confirmation pop-up to help prevent mistakes.
  • Settings: Improved controllability of the “Shoot to Pick Up” feature, making it a toggleable option.

Character & Weapon Adjustments

  • Estela: Fixed a display issue with Estela’s face model.
  • Gwynn: Improved Signature Ability Soul Assault’s adsorption distance versus combatants.
  • Gwynn: Fixed the actual effective range of Signature Ability Void Dance to match the ability description.
  • Gwynn: Increased the max number of Void Spirits that can be on the ground to 8, making it more compatible with Exotic weapon Octant Riot Disperser’s max charged shot.
  • Ning Fei: Improved the visuals of Ning Fei’s movements while he’s in his Super.

System & Activity Optimizations

  • Bounties: Improved the Common Bounties experience, allowing for 1 refresh.
  • Wolf Pack: Improved pack recommendation logic.
  • Relic Abilities: Improved the unlock requirements for Relic Trait 3, changing it from Acclaim Lv.2 to Team Lv.71.
  • Activities: Improved the reward pool for Singularity: Chaos.
  • Activities: Improved the wish selection experience for Morgran’s Prey, removing overly difficult wishes such as Vital Resonance.
  • Pick-Up: Improved the logic and display for picking objects up

Animation, Audio, & Visual Optimizations

  • Audio: Improved the sound effects for wishes in Morgran’s Prey.
  • Audio: Improved the sound effects for Wolf’s Signature Ability Wolf’s Strike.
  • Animation: Improved the third-person animations for dual Sidearms.
  • Animation: Improved animations for Exotic weapon Sweet Business.
  • Visual Performance: Improved the display of decals on playable characters during dialogue.
  • Controls: Improved slide controls.

Localization Improvements

  • English: Fixed objective descriptions in Attal’s character quest.
  • English: Fixed the descriptions of some weapon perks.
  • English: Simplified and improved clarity of weapon perk descriptions.
  • Japanese: Improved term consistency, and fixed some issues with honorifics and character speech patterns.
  • Latin American Spanish: Improved term consistency, and fixed some grammatical errors.

  • Morgran’s Prey: Fixed an issue in which Void Vortexes would not spawn.
  • Singularity: Fixed an issue in which Lightbearers could be stuck on a stage if a device knocked them underground.
  • Singularity: Fixed an issue in which Lightbearers could attack bosses at the entrance.
  • Singularity: Fixed an issue with the reward status display.
  • The Expanse: Fixed an issue with treasure chest visibility.
  • Iron Bar: Fixed an issue in which entering the Iron Bar from the Practice Range would result in abnormal weapon damage.
  • Fishing: Fixed an issue in which fishing special effects would clip through models.
  • Campaign: Fixed an issue in which the camera would behave abnormally during campaign dialogue.
  • Campaign: Fixed an issue in which Lightbearers wouldn’t be switched back to their original character after leaving Story Mode for some quests.
  • Ball Kick: Fixed an issue in which some Lightbearers couldn’t kick the ball.
  • Combatant Damage: Fixed an issue in which Vex self-destruction could insta-kill Lightbearers.

  • Character Abilities: Fixed an issue in which the damage resistance buff from Ning Fei’s Signature Ability Sidetrick wouldn’t take effect as expected.
  • Character Quests: Fixed an issue with vanishing NPCs in Ning Fei’s quest.
  • Bonfire: Fixed an issue with Bonfire dialogue resources.
  • Weapons: Fixed an issue in which the front lens wouldn’t be hidden when aiming down sights with Type 7 “Moonshot” EMR-M.
  • Weapons: Fixed an issue in which switching Exotic Grenade Launcher Satiyaaliksni Smart Bomb’s ornament would result in its mode-switching sound effect not playing.
  • Weapons: Fixed an issue in which switching weapons while sprinting would cause characters to stop.
  • Weapons: Fixed an issue with Sidearms’ performance while jumping.
  • Weapons: Fixed a balancing issue with Exotic Auto-Crossbow Mahamayuri that resulted in its power being too high in Iron Bar and Shifting Gates, bringing its TTK to a more reasonable level.
  • Weapons: Fixed an issue in which Exotic Sniper Rifle Izanagi’s Burden’s damage would be abnormal in auto-fire mode.

System & Feature Issues

  • Artifacts: Fixed an issue in which Ring of Conversion’s effect could be triggered by some non-ability sources of healing.
  • Activity Interface: Fixed an issue in which the Reward Retrieval button wouldn’t display in the top bar.
  • Activity Interface: Fixed an issue with the Fair Play icon.
  • Acclaim System: Fixed an issue in which rewards couldn’t be claimed in real time.
  • Shop: Fixed an issue in which some character ornaments’ exclusive animations wouldn’t play.
