NetEase has launched a new Destiny: Rising player survey asking fans which major franchises they’d like to see crossover with the game.
It’s been exactly two months since Destiny: Rising officially launched. The sci-fi action RPG, developed by NetEase in collaboration with Bungie, has already seen major post-launch updates, special events, and even a custom emote creator tied to its recent Festival of the Lost celebration.
Now, the studio seems to be testing the waters for potential collaborations with some of the most popular franchises in entertainment.
Crossovers have become a huge part of live-service games lately. Titles like Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Final Fantasy XIV have all embraced IP collaborations, and Bungie’s Destiny 2 is even getting a full-blown Star Wars-inspired expansion later this year called Renegades, which features Blasters, Lightsabers, and more.

So, it’s not surprising that NetEase might be thinking about bringing the same kind of energy to Destiny: Rising.
NetEase Launches Official Destiny Rising IP Collaboration Survey
Earlier today, NetEase posted a new message in the official Destiny: Rising Discord server titled “Destiny: Rising IP Collaboration Survey.” The announcement reads:
“Hi Lightbearers! To enrich the game content and bring you a better gaming experience, we are currently discussing IP collaborations (Intellectual Property. It’s creative stuff like popular games, anime, movies, TV dramas or characters people know and love). We would like to invite you to participate in this survey, your opinions are extremely valuable to us!
“This survey is only for understanding your preferences. Currently, the project is still in the early exploration stage. The valuable ideas you provide are important references for us, but not all ideas will be finally implemented. We appreciate your understanding.”

The linked Google Form lists a range of possible franchises for players to pick from. Check out the full list of IP options below:
- Transformers
- Alien
- Pacific Rim
- Dungeons & Dragons
- Saw
- Star Wars
- Halo
- Warhammer 40,000
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Marvel
- Helldivers
- Silent Hill
- DC
Players can also pick how they’d want collaborations to show up in-game. Options include new characters, themed skins and costumes, unique PVE/PVP modes, themed maps, or exclusive weapons, vehicles, or other items. You also get to vote for the depth: either a “deep” full crossover with new content or a quicker “light” one with cosmetics only.

Another section asks whether fans prefer “deep collaborations” (with new characters and modes) or “light collaborations” (focused on cosmetic content)
- Deep Collaboration: A complete version including new characters, new game modes, and new maps, but with a relatively long development cycle.
- Light Collaboration: Focused primarily on content such as skins and props, enabling quick launch for players to experience.
Finally, there’s an open-ended question about potential collaborations with celebrities.
Of course, this doesn’t confirm that Destiny: Rising will actually feature crossovers with any of these IPs, NetEase is just gauging interest for now.
In other news, NetEase launched the Festival of the Lost event in Destiny Rising, which introduced a new “Stellar Dance” feature letting players upload their own dance videos to create custom in-game emotes.
