Destiny: Rising’s first weekly update is here with a new Exotic weapon event, better loot drop rates, and huge changes to some activities.
It’s only been a few days since Destiny: Rising officially launched worldwide on August 28, and so far, the response has been way better than most people expected. Built as a mobile spin-off set in an alternate timeline before Destiny 1, this new entry is quickly winning over fans, not just longtime Destiny 2 players, but newcomers, too.
And now, Destiny: Rising has officially entered its live service rhythm. The game went under scheduled 4-hour maintenance earlier today (September 4), and with it came the first full weekly patch, Update 0904. It’s a big that significantly increases Exotic weapon drops, shop updates, performance tweaks, artifact system improvements, and more.
In this article, we’ll go over everything that was added or changed in Destiny Rising’s 0904 update.

- The “high-value artifact” marker for artifact attributes has been changed from the original, single Gold tier and split into two tiers: Gold and Silver. Silver is good, while Gold is the best.
- When a refactor result’s Power is higher than the character’s current Power, selecting “Refactor Again” will now show a pop-up warning to help prevent missing out on a higher-Power artifact due to clicking/tapping through too quickly.
