Dune Awakening Weekly Wipe Time Explained: Coriolis Storm Reset, Deep Desert, and New Landsraad Cycle

Dune Awakening’s Deep Desert resets every week with the Coriolis Storm. Here’s how the wipe works, what it affects, and when the Landsraad cycle begins.

Dune: Awakening is an open-world survival MMO set on the harsh planet of Arrakis. Similar to other MMOs, you gather materials, build your base, unlock new tech, and survive against both the environment and other players. It blends survival mechanics with persistent MMO systems, giving players control over politics, trade, and even PvP combat.

One of the most important zones in the game is the Deep Desert. This is where players can find rare resources, blueprints, and high-value loot. It’s also the most dangerous area, not just because of the PvP, but because of something called the Coriolis Storm.

On top of that, there’s a system called the Landsraad, where player factions vote on weekly laws that affect the entire server. These three systems: Deep Desert, Coriolis Storm, and Landsraad, are all tightly connected through a weekly cycle that resets part of the game.

In this article, we’ll walk you through how the weekly reset works, when it happens, what it changes, and how you can prepare for it.

What Is the Coriolis Storm?

Every Tuesday morning, during the server’s daily restart, a massive storm called the Coriolis Storm sweeps across the Deep Desert. When this storm hits, it wipes everything in that area, including player-built bases, terrain layouts, and environment features. You’ll know it’s coming because you’ll see the storm on the horizon a few hours before, and you’ll also get a visual warning through the in-game Communinet system.

The storm only affects the Deep Desert. Your base in Hagga Basin, the earlier region of the game, stays intact. That said, some of the resource nodes in Hagga Basin may shift, so it’s still worth checking after the reset.

Once the storm ends during Tuesday’s restart, a brand-new version of the Deep Desert is loaded in. This version includes new points of interest, new loot drops, and an entirely different map layout. According to the developers, each of these layouts is hand-crafted, and you won’t see the same map again for a couple of weeks. That means what you find one week, rare crafting recipes, blueprints, or item locations, might not return again for quite some time.

Why Does This Matter?

Because the Deep Desert resets every week, it adds real value to the loot and blueprints you pick up there. If you find a strong weapon schematic or a unique crafting item, there’s a chance that exact version might not be available again for weeks, or longer. That makes exploring the Deep Desert each week feel rewarding, especially early on when fewer players are out there.

This also adds tension to PvP. Since more players are entering the Deep Desert looking for top-tier loot, there’s a greater chance of running into combat. That includes Ornithopter battles, which, according to players, are already getting intense and chaotic.

Dune Awakening Deep Desert Weekly Reset

While the Coriolis Storm resets the terrain, the Landsraad resets your server’s rules. The Landsraad is a player-driven political system where Minor Houses (player factions) vote on weekly decrees that apply to everyone in that server world. These can include things like increased crafting efficiency, stronger PvP rules (like full-loot on death), or other game-changing bonuses.

You can check out the complete details on the Dune Awakening Deep Desert weekly reset wipe below:

  • Sunday: The current Landsraad term ends. A 24-hour voting session begins, where player factions can vote on which decree they want to see active next.
  • Monday: Voting ends. The game enters a “suspended phase,” where the winning decree gets locked in, and top clans can access rewards or special access points.
  • Tuesday: As the Coriolis Storm ends and the Deep Desert changes, the new Landsraad term begins with the chosen decree now live.

This cycle keeps the game world dynamic and unpredictable each week, not just in terrain, but in how the game rules actually play out.
