Bungie is hosting Destiny 2’s first-ever Dungeon Race with Contest Mode for the Vesper’s Host dungeon. Here’s a list of every weapon, armor, and abilities disabled during the race.
Following the massive Raid Race events in Destiny 2, Bungie is now extending this to the second end-game activity, dungeons. Destiny 2 is getting its first-ever Dungeon Race today, with the launch of the brand-new Vesper’s Host dungeon.
Launching on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 10 AM PT, the Vesper’s Host dungeon race will have the Contest Mode modifier active for 48 hours. For those unaware, Contest Mode limits your Power Level, ensuring that no one can overpower their way through, leveling the playing field.
Similar to past dungeons, Vesper’s Host promises a new set of weapons, armor, and the returning Ice Breaker exotic sniper rifle, which has now been updated with new perks and an exotic catalyst.
However, to avoid any unintended advantages, Bungie has revealed a list of items that will be disabled during the race.
Disabled Items and Gear for Destiny 2 Vesper’s Host Dungeon Race
To maintain a fair competition, Bungie has temporarily disabled several items that could potentially cause issues, such as giving players an unfair advantage, breaking the game, or triggering bugs. Here’s the full list of disabled weapons, armor, and abilities for the event:
- Alethonym Exotic Grenade Launcher
- Salvation’s Grip Exotic Grenade Launcher
- Wardcliff Coil Exotic Rocket Launcher
- One Thousand Voices Exotic Fusion Rifle
- Tomorrow’s Answer Legendary Rocket Launcher
- Yesterday’s Question Legendary Handcannon
- Hunter: Shadowshot: Moebius Quiver & Deadfall
- Titan: Unbreakable Aspect, Peacekeepers Exotic Leg Armor
- Artifact mods: Hail of the Storm
Addressing these restrictions, Bungie stated, “To ensure a fair playing field and prevent errors during the Vesper’s Host Dungeon Race, we are creating a list of weapons, armor, and abilities that will be disabled within the dungeon activity.”
The Dungeon Race begins today, Friday, October 11, 2024, at 9:30 AM PT, live on Twitch Rivals.
