Previously rumored PS5 exclusive developed by FromSoftware is a brand-new IP that has no connection to Bloodborne or Demon’s Souls game, it’s claimed.

During the latest episode of the XboxEra podcast, Nick, co-host of the podcast and a reputable leaker, revealed some more details about this PS5 exclusive saying that Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the Souls games, is on this project. The below details have been sent to Nick in a Discord message from a source close to the matter

“Deal-wise, it’s pretty much identical to Bloodborne and Demon’s Souls as in Sony owns the IP but it’s made together with obviously From[Software] and Sony XDev Japan, which is former Sony Japan Studio.”

“[Hidetaka] Miyazaki is on it. It’s not Bloodborne, it’s not Demon’s Souls, it’s an entirely new IP and apparently has no connection to the former two games.”

“It’s believed I think the PS5 exclusive is more Souls-like than it is Elden Ring/Sekiro.”

Earlier this week, Dealer Gaming reported during their Real Deal Xbox podcast that FromSoftware, developers behind Elden Ring and Bloodbourne, is working on a PS5 exclusive game. This rumor was later corroborated by Nick from the Xbox Era podcast.

Nick also mentions that the new Armored Core game that FromSoftware is working on was apparently “put on hold.”

“I believe Armored Core was either put on hold or has been having rough development. The reason for this is because I heard that the project is lacking in focus/direction.”

“Because of the troubles with that, plus a new contract with Sony, they might’ve put it on hold to finish Elden Ring plus the PS5 game. But the Armored Core info is a bit old, so things may have changed there.”

In other news, we have the official release date for one of the most-awaited titles in video games, Elden Ring, releasing on January 21, 2022, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Series X/S, and Windows.
