God of War Ragnarok New Game Plus Mode Coming In Spring 2023, Developer Confirms

God of War Ragnarok, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular God of War 2018 game, is set to receive a New Game Plus mode after many speculations and leaks, the developer has confirmed today on Twitter.

Sony Santa Monica tweeted today that the New Game Plus mode will arrive in God of War Ragnarok in Spring 2023. “We know many of you have been asking, so we’re happy to confirm that New Game Plus will be coming to #GodofWarRagnarok in Spring 2023! We’ll share more details once we get closer to the release!”

This mode allows players to start a new game while retaining their previously earned skills, abilities, weapons, and armor they acquired during their previous playthrough of the game.

There are five difficulty options for players to choose from in the game; Give Me Story, Give Me Grace, Give Me Balance, Give Me No Mercy, and Give Me God Of War. Players can only select the “Give Me God Of War” option at the start of a new playthrough.

The announcement of the new game plus mode for God of War Ragnarok has b been met with excitement and anticipation from the fans. This mode is sure to add even more replayability to the game and provide players with a more immersive and rewarding experience.

While God of War Ragnarok did not win the Game of the Year 2022 award at The Game Awards this year (though it did win in six categories), it did manage to sweep in ten categories including the GOTY award for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on PlayStation Blog Awards.

God of War Ragnarok is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
