Rockstar has released the long-awaited second trailer for GTA 6, introducing new characters, story details, and a deeper look at Vice City.

After over a year of silence, Grand Theft Auto 6 fans finally have something new to chew on. Rockstar has officially released the second trailer for GTA 6, offering a fresh look at the highly anticipated sequel set in Vice City.

The first trailer launched back in December 2023, and while it confirmed the 2025 window at the time, Rockstar later pushed the game to May 2026, which the developer said was necessary to ensure the final product lives up to expectations.

This new trailer, which dropped today, builds on what we saw in the first one, giving us more of the characters, the world, and the crime-filled story that ties it all together.

Meet Jason, Lucia, and the Criminal Underworld of Vice City in GTA 6

The trailer brings us back to Vice City, a modern, fictional take on Miami, and introduces us to Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the game’s two main characters. They’re not your average criminals. Jason is a former Army man who’s slipped back into bad habits, working with smugglers in the Florida Keys. Lucia, on the other hand, has just gotten out of prison, determined to take control of her life and secure the future she and her mother always dreamed of.

As the official site details, the two “find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

Alongside the main duo, the trailer and Rockstar’s updated website introduce several new characters who seem central to the game’s world, including Boobie Ike, a strip-club-running local legend with ties to music and real estate; Dre’Quan Priest, an up-and-coming music mogul; and Real Dimez, a rap duo trying to turn viral fame into something real. Other characters like Raul Bautista, Brian Heder, and Cal Hampton help round out the cast and hint at the web of stories players will get tangled in.

There’s also a clear sense that Vice City isn’t just a backdrop, it’s alive. The trailer is full of social media-style clips, nightlife, heatwaves, and neon, all hinting at the culture and chaos that defines Rockstar’s take on Florida.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release on May 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There’s still a long road ahead, but this new trailer gives fans a much better idea of what’s coming.
