GTA 6 may feature a groundbreaking update for music lovers, as new rumors suggest artists could upload their own tracks directly into the game, with Drake reportedly getting his own exclusive radio station.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is hands down the most talked-about game in years, and it hasn’t even launched yet. Rockstar’s next entry in the legendary franchise has been surrounded by nonstop excitement, leaks, and wild speculation ever since the first trailer dropped. Fans are already counting down to its new release date, May 26, 2026.
The list of rumored and confirmed features just keeps getting longer. We’ve heard about a massive new map, two playable main characters, and a world that feels more alive than anything Rockstar’s done before.
Recent leaks claim GTA 6 will offer more than 700 enterable stores, fully functional shopping malls, a dynamic relationship system, and even the return of the six-star wanted level. And if all that wasn’t enough, there might be some major changes coming to the way in-game music works.
GTA 6 Leak Suggests Drake’s Own Radio Station
The latest rumor comes from Grammy-winning producer Jermaine Dupri, who dropped some interesting information during a new episode of the New Rory & Mal podcast. While talking about technology, music, and video games, Dupri said he was approached about Grand Theft Auto, specifically mentioning how artists like Drake could get their own radio stations inside the game.
“They asked me to do Grand Theft Auto, and they were saying like Drake got his own radio station on Grand Theft Auto,” Dupri said during the podcast. “The way that they [are] getting ready to do it is that Drake can actually upload music that we probably ain’t never even heard online or wherever else, on that video game.”
He also mentioned that the new setup might allow artists to put out unreleased tracks exclusively in GTA, making the in-game radio feel more like a live playlist you’d tune into in real life.
Now, it’s worth noting that Dupri never actually says “GTA 6” by name; he only refers to “Grand Theft Auto” in general. But if you look at the timing and the features he’s describing, it’s pretty clear he’s talking about Rockstar’s upcoming release, not the older games. GTA 5 and GTA Online don’t have any system like this for uploading music or giving artists their own live radio stations.
The fact that Dupri specifically namedrops Drake and talks about uploading unreleased music makes it pretty clear that we’re not talking about the current games, but something new for GTA 6. Still, nothing has been officially announced by Rockstar yet, so take this with a grain of salt.
If this turns out to be true, it would be a huge step for both Rockstar and the artists involved. GTA’s radio stations have always been a major highlight of the series, but being able to upload music or even premiere new songs in-game would make things even more personal for players, and for musicians trying to reach a massive global audience.
And just to put it in perspective, previous leaks have already set expectations sky-high. Besides the 700+ stores, there’s talk of male strippers’ venues, underwater secrets, and fully working elevators inside shopping malls.
