Want to fly across Arrakis in Dune Awakening? Here’s the complete guide on how to get your first Ornithopter without crafting.

Dune Awakening is officially live. This survival MMO drops you on the planet Arrakis, where staying alive means managing water, building a strong base, and always watching your back. You’ll pick a class, like Trooper, Swordmaster, Mentat, Planetologist, or Bene Gesserit, each with its own style and special moves.

As you play, you’ll unlock a bunch of vehicles, from Sandbikes to the legendary Ornithopter, making it easier to explore, escape sandworms, or just look cool flying around the desert.

Of all the vehicles you can get, the Ornithopter is easily one of the most exciting. It’s fast, it can fly over sand dunes, and it saves you a ton of time. A lot of players think you have to grind out resources and craft your first Ornithopter, but that’s not true!

In this article, we’ll talk about the easiest way to get your first Ornithopter, no crafting required.

The Fastest Way to Get Your First Ornithopter in Dune Awakening

Let’s skip the headaches and go straight to what works. Instead of spending hours leveling up, getting Intel Points, and gathering resources, you can just buy your first Ornithopter once you hit a certain reputation with one of the game’s main factions.

Here’s exactly how you do it:

Focus on Faction Reputation

First, pick one of the two big factions: Atreides or Harkonnen, and start working on your reputation with them. You build reputation by doing faction quests over and over. These quests aren’t too complicated, but you do need to put in some time. Every time you finish a quest, your rep with that faction goes up a little bit.

Your goal here is to reach Reputation Level 4. Once you’re at level 4, you unlock the ability to buy an Ornithopter’s parts straight from the faction vendor. No crafting required.

Save Up Solari

Next, you’re going to need some cash. The Ornithopter isn’t cheap, so I recommend saving up about 125,000 Solari just to be safe. You earn Solari by doing quests, selling loot, and exploring the world. Don’t stress if it takes a little while; just keep doing your thing, and that total will add up faster than you think.

Go to the Right Vendor

Once you’ve hit Reputation Level 4 and you’ve got your Solari saved up, it’s time to go shopping. You’ll find faction vendors in the main cities:

  • If you’re with Atreides, head to Helius Gate
  • If you’re with Harkonnen, go to Riftwatch or Quartermaster

Talk to the vendor, and you’ll see the Ornithopter available for purchase. Just pay the Solari, and the Ornithopter is yours. It’s that easy!
