Jade Raymond leaves Haven Studios just weeks after a Fairgames playtest, as PlayStation appoints new leaders and delays the game to spring 2026.
Haven Studios, founded in 2021 by industry veteran Jade Raymond, is going through a big change. Part of the PlayStation Studios, the developer’s first major project, Fairgames, was announced last year as a colorful, competitive online heist shooter.
There’s been a lot of curiosity around the game, especially since it’s one of the few live-service titles PlayStation has left after a wave of cancellations and underwhelming launches like last year’s Concord. So far, public reception has been a mix of cautious interest and skepticism, as many PlayStation fans are still waiting for more details and actual gameplay.
Jade Raymond Steps Down, New Leadership for Fairgames
Now, according to a new report from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, Jade Raymond has officially left Haven Studios. The news comes just a few weeks after an external playtest of Fairgames, where sources said some Haven developers were worried about how the game was received and its overall progress. No official reason for Raymond’s departure was given to the Haven team.
Raymond, who previously worked at Ubisoft, EA, and Google’s Stadia before founding Haven, did not comment on her exit. In her absence, PlayStation has named Marie-Eve Danis and Pierre-François Sapinski as the new co-studio heads. In a statement, PlayStation said:
“Jade Raymond has been an incredible partner and visionary force in founding Haven Studios. We are deeply grateful for her leadership and contributions, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter.” The company added, “[We are] committed to supporting Haven Studios and excited to continue the journey.”
The Bloomberg report also mentioned that Fairgames was originally set for a fall 2025 launch, but is now delayed to spring 2026. This delay follows concerns after recent playtests and PlayStation’s broader struggle to find a hit live-service game.
