Kojima Productions’ “Beyond The Strand” event happens Sept. 23 in Tokyo and promises “a glimpse at future projects.”

Kojima Productions has announced a one-off event called “Beyond The Strand,” and yes, it includes “a glimpse at future projects.” The studio is marking its 10th anniversary with a stage program hosted by Hideo Kojima in Tokyo, promising special guests and a look at what’s next.

The event takes place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills (SCREEN7). Doors open at 12 PM JST, and the stage program runs 1 to 3:30 PM JST. For quick reference: that’s 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET the night before.

Kojima Productions Beyond The Strand Event Announced

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, September 2, at 10 AM JST through Lawson Ticket via advance lottery (no door sales). Price is ¥7,700 (tax included), seats are assigned and distributed at random, and resale/transfer isn’t allowed. A livestream is planned, but details are TBA.

“Kojima Productions today announced Beyond The Strand, a celebration of 10 years of Kojima Productions,” according to the press release. “Hosted by Hideo Kojima, the celebratory event will include special guest appearances as well as offer a glimpse into future projects. Beyond The Strand will take place at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, Japan, on Tuesday, 23rd September, 2025.”

The big headline is the studio’s exact phrasing: “a glimpse at future projects.” That naturally raises the question: what could show up? Kojima Productions currently has several games in development beyond Death Stranding 2’s post-launch content.

We could see announcements related to Physint, the announced “action-espionage” project in collaboration with Sony. There’s also OD, Kojima’s experimental Xbox project, revealed as a tech-driven horror experience. And given the studio’s growing multimedia footprint, small teases related to film/TV tie-ins or soundtrack releases wouldn’t be wild either.

A few house rules worth noting if you’re attending: late entry isn’t allowed during stage greetings, and personal recording/photography is prohibited. Media will be filming on site, and footage may be used later by the company. Wheelchair seating is available in designated spaces.

What do you think we’ll see? PHYSINT, OD, or something totally new? Drop your guesses below.
