A new Marathon leak gives us our first look at 55 skins for all six Runners, including some skins for the Deluxe Edition of the game.

Bungie’s upcoming extraction shooter, Marathon, is set to release in March. The studio recently released a new Vision of Marathon ViDoc, giving players an updated look at the game, with sharper visuals, details about how the game plays, new Runners, maps, and what Bungie is aiming for at launch. Since then, the developer has also been sharing more teasers on social media.

Over the last year, following Marathon’s Closed Alpha, Bungie has run several closed playtests. The latest one took place in December, running from December 12 to 16. Like the earlier tests, it was under strict NDA, which meant players couldn’t publicly share footage or talk in detail about what they saw. As a result, things like cosmetics and how deep customization goes have mostly stayed out of view.

But now, it looks like we finally have our first real look at Runner skins for all six Runners in Marathon, and honestly, some of them look really cool.

The images come from a player who took part in the December playtest and later uploaded all of the skins to a public website with a downloadable link. That’s how The Game Post was able to access them. We’ve edited and cropped the images to remove any identifying information.

Based on what we’ve seen, there are 55 total skins currently in the game. Here’s how they break down by Runner:

  • Triage: 8 skins
  • Destroyer: 8 skins
  • Assassin: 10 skins
  • Thief: 10 skins
  • Recon: 8 skins
  • Vandal: 11 skins

As for what these skins actually look like, it’s a mix. Some of these skins are simple recolors of the base Runner skin, changing materials or color patterns. Others appear more unique, with noticeable visual changes that go beyond a basic color swap. There also seem to be skins that could be tied to Battle Pass, though nothing about that is confirmed yet.

Note: These details come from an earlier build of the game and could change before launch. So, take it with a grain of salt.

  • Destroyer
