Blade is coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 3, according to new leaks. Here’s a full look at his rumored abilities, weapons, and more.
Season 2 of Marvel Rivals is almost at its finish line, and it’s been packed with two new additions to the roster: Ultron and Emma Frost. Both brought new playstyles and a lot of variety to the current meta.
With Season 2 wrapping up soon, all eyes are now on what’s next. Thanks to a recent set of leaks, it looks like Blade is getting ready to join the fight in Season 3, and his toolkit looks just as deadly as you’d expect.
Who is Blade in Marvel Rivals?
In the comics, Blade (real name: Eric Brooks) is a half-human, half-vampire hybrid known as a “Daywalker.” He hunts vampires using a mix of martial arts, swords, and firearms, and he’s been a longtime part of Marvel’s darker supernatural corner, often teaming up with characters like Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, and the Midnight Sons.
In Marvel Rivals, leaked voicelines and in-game references suggest Blade has ties to Dracula, with his moveset revolving around a special sword referred to as Dracula’s Sword. His dialogue hints at a no-nonsense attitude and a focus on bringing down the vampire threat across dimensions.
Based on the leaks so far, he’ll likely fill a Duelist role, favoring aggressive play and close-range combat.
Marvel Rivals: Blade’s Abilities and Stats
Blade is a damage-heavy fighter with a mix of melee and ranged options. He can switch between a sword and a hunting shotgun, giving him solid flexibility in how he approaches fights. He also comes with unique vampiric mechanics that reward aggressive gameplay.
Check out the full list of Blade’s abilities in Marvel Rivals below.
- Blade Chopper (Primary Fire 1): Use Dracula’s Sword to slash in front of you, inflicting damage to the enemy you hit.
- Hunting Gun (Primary Fire 2): Use a hunting shotgun to fire a long-range explosive fragmentation round that delivers a large amount of shrapnel at the point of detonation.
- Step and Chop (Shift): Sprint forward, if wielding a gun, shoot an enemy and apply to reduce healing; if wielding a sword, slash an enemy and apply to reduce movement speed.
- Blood Liberation (E): Activate vampiric bloodline, all blood becomes Dracula’s blood, gain stronger senses, can’t be healed at this time, but can restore Dracula’s blood by inflicting damage.
- Damage Block (RMB): Use Dracula’s Sword to set up a sword stance that reduces damage from in front of you.
- Ultimate (Q): After building up your strength for a short period of time, you quickly unsheathe your sword and charge forward, while releasing a powerful Chop and leaving Dracula’s Sword frantically chopping the area behind you.

There are also whispers about a potential Team-Up Ability with Cloak & Dagger, though details are still under wraps. This could hint at a possible Midnight Sons or supernatural synergy between the characters if they end up in the game together.
