Update: According to the Modern Warfare Reddit, it looks like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered will be released with Season 3 in Modern Warfare (2019) that’s starting sometime next month.
Original Story: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered rumors have been going around for some time now. Last year, we’ve got a rating that suggested a campaign-only premaster of Modern Warfare 2 is on the way. Earlier this month, a Korean rating also went up for the same listing (COD MW2R Campaign only). Today, we finally have some solid details on this.
Last night, Infinity Ward released a scheduled update for Modern Warfare and Warzone across all platforms. This new update brought a ton of new content including a new operator called – Talon, a new map, and weapons in Warzone.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered on the Way?
Thanks to the update, players dug in the game’s files and found some really interesting art that strongly suggests the return of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. Check out the datamined images below:
MW2R Leaks
As we all know, the Ghost that was added in Modern Warfare (2019) was not the same as the one in Modern Warfare 2. And in the leaked images, we can see the same Ghost (from MW2) is back with along with the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered art. One thing worth noting is that these images were found in the Modern Warfare (2019) update. So, it’s possible that Activision will release MW2R in Modern Warfare 2019 just like they did with Warzone.
Earlier this month, TGR also claimed that COD MW2R is on the way. Judging from the graphics of the leaked images, it looks like the game is made in the same engine as Modern Warfare (2019), which is a really good thing.
