Monster Hunter Wilds is finally here, and it’s off to an incredible start. The launch numbers have been massive, with the game reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam. Players have been flooding in to experience the next big installment in the Monster Hunter series.
This game is packed with new mechanics, huge open environments, and, of course, the epic monster battles we all love. With so much to do, there’s one thing that every hunter is going to need: Zenny.
What is Zenny in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Zenny is the currency you’ll use for everything in Monster Hunter Wilds. Whether it’s upgrading weapons, crafting armor, or buying essential supplies, you’ll need a ton of it to keep up. But making money the usual way, taking on hunts, and selling random drops, can feel slow.
If you want to build up Zenny fast, there’s a much better way to do it. This guide will walk you through the best and fastest Zenny farming method in the game, helping you make hundreds of thousands in just minutes.
Monster Hunter Wilds: The Best Way to Farm Zenny Fast
There’s a hidden gem for farming Zenny in Monster Hunter Wilds, and it’s found in the Scarlet Forest. This area is unlocked early on and is home to one of the most profitable farming spots in the game: the Underground Lake in Area 8.
The reason this spot is so good is simple: it’s packed with rare fish and valuable mining nodes that you can farm over and over again. The method revolves around using your Capture Net to scoop up Goldfish and Platinum Fish, which drop high-value Scales.
On top of that, the area has multiple mining nodes that give you ores and materials that can be sold for even more Zenny. What makes this farm even better is that you can reset it easily, meaning you’re never waiting for resources to respawn.
To get started, you’ll need access to Scarlet Forest. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, just keep progressing through the game, and it’ll open up naturally. Once you have access, fast travel to Area 8 or make your way there manually.
Tip
If you haven’t set up a pop-up camp in this area yet, do it as soon as possible, it’ll save you a ton of time.
When you arrive at Area 8, look for a waterfall. It might not be obvious at first, but there’s a hidden passage behind it that leads to the Underground Lake. Once inside, you’ll notice the fishing spots and mining nodes that make this place so valuable.
The key to this farm is speed. Equip your Capture Net, aim into the water, and scoop up as many Goldfish and Platinum Fish as you can. These drop Golden Scales and Platinum Scales, which sell for a ton of Zenny.
While you’re at it, take a moment to mine the three mining nodes in the area. These will give you extra materials that can be sold for even more profit. If you’re lucky, you might also spot a Golden Crab, catching this will reward you with Ancient Wyvern Coins.
Now, here’s the trick to making this farm truly efficient: resetting the area. There are two easy ways to do this. The first option is to fast travel out to another zone, then fast travel right back. This forces the mining nodes to respawn and brings back most of the fish.
The second option is to rest at your pop-up camp, which fully resets everything at the cost of 300 points. However, since you’ll be making way more than that from farming, this method pays for itself instantly.
With this strategy, you can easily farm for 40 minutes and make over 600,000 Zenny and 14,000 Guild Points. If you focus even harder, those numbers can go even higher. Once you’ve stocked up on fish scales and ores, head to a vendor and sell everything in bulk. The amount of money you’ll walk away with is ridiculous, and after just an hour or two, you’ll be set for a long time.
Monster Hunter Wilds is all about getting stronger, and this farm is the fastest way to keep your gear upgraded without worrying about being broke. If you’ve been struggling to make Zenny, give this method a try.
