A new report has revealed the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X pricing, with confirmation from Best Buy and in-store displays going live ahead of the October 16 launch.
The ROG Xbox Ally handhelds are getting closer, and we’re starting to learn more about what to expect as launch day approaches. ASUS has teamed up with Xbox to release two Windows 11-powered handhelds that put Game Pass front and center with a custom Xbox launcher built right in.
Both the ROG Ally and the upgraded ROG Ally X were officially revealed during the Summer showcase, and with Gamescom 2025, tons of creators and press got their hands on the devices for the first time.
At the time, one of the biggest questions was pricing. There have been some reports and leaks hinting at how much these Xbox-first handhelds might cost, but now we’ve got even more solid confirmation, and it’s coming from directly from the in-store display units that are slowly going live.
ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X Prices Leaked Again
Destin Legarie, a veteran games journalist and YouTube creator, shared a new video this week showing in-store images at Best Buy of the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. According to Legarie, the leak came from a Best Buy near Nashville, Tennessee. The rep he spoke to confirmed the pricing and also mentioned that display units would be going live in-store soon.
Here’s what the leaked prices show:
- ROG Xbox Ally: $549.99 USD
- ROG Xbox Ally X: $899.99 USD
These match up with earlier reports from reliable leaker billbil-kun of Dealabs, but the Best Buy confirmation definitely adds more weight to them. Microsoft and ASUS haven’t made the pricing official yet, but it’s looking pretty locked in at this point.
The base model offers an affordable entry point, while the Ally X is packing serious upgrades in battery life, RAM, and storage. Speaking of specs, you can find them for both of these consoles below.
