A new website domain was just registered, hinting at a possible Persona 4 Remake.
For Persona fans, this might be déjà vu. A new website domain, p4re.jp, was just registered today (March 20, 2025), and it’s already fueling speculation that a Persona 4 Remake could be on the way.
This was spotted by Twitter (X) user ScrambledFaz, who pointed out that two years ago, a similar domain, p3re.jp, was registered. Three months later, Atlus officially announced Persona 3 Reload. Now, with p4re.jp popping up, fans are connecting the dots and wondering if history is about to repeat itself.
“p4re.jp was registered a few hours ago,” the X post reads. “2 years ago, p3re. jp was registered. 3 months later Persona 3 Reload was revealed.”
Is Persona 4 Remake Real?
The p4re.jp domain was registered under GMO Internet Group, Inc., a company based in Tokyo, Japan. Unfortunately, the registrant’s identity is hidden, so there’s no official confirmation that Atlus or Sega is behind it. That being said, the p3re.jp domain followed the exact same pattern before Persona 3 Reload’s reveal, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think this could be for Persona 4 Remake.
Right now, the domain doesn’t lead to anything. But if the P3R situation is anything to go by, we might not have to wait too long for some kind of announcement.
Atlus has been remastering and remaking its older Persona games, with Persona 3 Reload launching last year. But Persona 4 has never received a full remake, and considering how popular it is, it seems like the logical next step.
Of course, this isn’t official confirmation, and there’s always a chance the domain is just a precautionary move rather than a sign of an announcement. But fans have been through this before with Persona 3 Reload, and it turned out to be real. So, for now, all eyes are on Atlus and Sega to see if they make a move.
If a Persona 4 Remake is really happening, we might be looking at an official reveal within the next few months. Until then, it’s all speculation, but a pretty exciting one at that.
