A new Pokémon Gen 11 leak reveals Game Freak is already working on the next mainline game after Gen 10 titles, with a planned 2030 release, according to internal documents and slides.

If today’s Pokémon leaks weren’t already wild enough, things have just gone into overdrive. Earlier today, a massive dump of info hit the web about Pokémon Gen 10, including the supposed names Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, the region inspired by Southeast Asia, and even story details about the new “Seed Pokémon.”

And now, it looks like the story just got a whole lot bigger. According to a new set of internal documents and images, Game Freak is already working on Pokémon Gen 11, and the next generation could be much closer than anyone expected.

Pokémon Gen 11 Targeted for 2030

According to internal development slides shared alongside a leaked document (via Centro Leaks), Game Freak is already laying the groundwork for Pokémon Generation 11, with a clear 2030 release target. The project is currently referred to as “Project 2030“, and while still early in development, preparations are very much underway.

The leaked documents show what appears to be planning materials from Game Freak’s “Game Development Preparatory Office.” In one translated slide, the statement reportedly reads:

“We are currently developing Gaia (Gen 10), but alongside that, we’re also moving forward with early prototyping for Gen 11, the next numbered title planned for release in 2030. A mixed team from the R&D Department and the Concept & Visual Studio will be formed and officially launched this fiscal year. Key members will participate concurrently on both teams, so we kindly ask for everyone’s cooperation as we move ahead.”

If accurate, this means Pokémon Gen 11 is targeting a 2030 release, with Game Freak already spinning up a small R&D team to start early development while finishing Gen 10.

Other parts of the same document refer to ongoing work on Project Seed, a prototype for a next-generation online game, and mention a broader roadmap including Pokémon Winds and Waves releasing in 2026 and Pokémon Legends: Galar in 2027 and beyond.

Of course, as with any unverified leak, take all this with a big grain of salt until The Pokémon Company or Game Freak says something official.
