Huge Rainbow Six Siege X leaks reveal new Dual Front 6v6 mode, operator reworks, Borderlands crossover, NBA collab, movement changes, and more, just ahead of today’s big reveal event.
If you’ve been following Rainbow Six Siege, you know the game has been around for nearly a decade and still holds strong as one of the most competitive shooters out there. Ubisoft has kept it fresh with constant updates, new operators, and events, but lately, there’s been a lot of talk about what’s next for the game.
Over the past few weeks, rumors and leaks have hinted at a massive shake-up for Siege, with talk of a sequel, or at least a huge technical upgrade, along with major operator changes, events, and even new game modes. Well, ahead of today’s official Siege X reveal event, some big details have leaked from the Rainbow Six Siege Leaks Discord server.
If these leaks are accurate, there’s a lot to be excited about.
All Rainbow Six Siege X Leaked Details
The latest leaks cover a ton of new features, from operator reworks to a completely new 6v6 mode. Here’s what’s reportedly coming in Rainbow Six Siege X Year 10 Season 2 (Y10S2) called “Operation Daybreak”:
Siege X Closed Beta and New 6v6 Mode – Dual Front
One of the biggest additions is Dual Front, a 6v6 mode that Ubisoft is calling a “milestone” for Siege’s 10-year anniversary. According to leaked closed beta details, Ubisoft wants players to test the mode and give feedback. However, not everyone will get access—it’s only available on next-gen consoles and PCs with Ray Tracing-capable GPUs (Nvidia 20 series / AMD RX 6000 series or higher), per the leaked details.
Here’s the full leaked statement from the Siege development team:
“As part of Siege’s 10-year anniversary, this 6v6 game mode, Dual Front, marks an important milestone, and we are happy to have you take part in its development. The goal of this closed beta is to gather as much feedback as possible. We encourage you to play a lot, report issues on the R6Fix Test Server website, and share your thoughts in the survey provided after the beta ends.
“With your help, we’ll make Siege’s 10-year anniversary the best it can be. Please note that this version of the game has limited content and is a work-in-progress, so you may encounter crashes and bugs. Only the publisher can guarantee support for this closed beta since it is an unreleased version. For assistance, please contact Ubisoft Customer Support. Thank you and we hope you enjoy, THE SIEGE DEVELOPMENT TEAM.
Here’s how you can sign up for the Siege X Closed Beta.
“You need a Ray Tracing-capable video card and at least 8 GB of RAM to play Dual Front (Nvidia 20 series/AMD RX 6000 Series or higher). Your current console doesn’t meet the minimal technical requirements to play Dual Front. Your current game version is from an older generation console that doesn’t support Dual Front.”
Big Operator Reworks: Thunderbird & Clash
Two operators are reportedly getting some changes. Clash is getting a big rework with the CCE Shield MK2. The shield can also be picked up and remotely activated. Meanwhile, Thunderbird is getting a small but important tweak. Her Kona Stations will now recognize teammates and enemies, automatically healing allies while damaging enemies with spikes.
Clash:
- A collapsible shield that can anchor to the floor and slow Opponents with electricity.
- Press [CYCLE_MAGAZINE_SIZE_BUTTON] to activate the taser and slow Opponents in front of the shield. Opponents moving towards you are slowed more.
- Hold [GADGET1_BUTTON] to anchor the shield to the ground.
- Use [INTERACT_BUTTON] to pick it back up.
- The shield Taser can be remotely activated.
- The shield adapts to Clash’s movements and can destroy barriers.
Thunderbird:
- Kona Stations is now aware of its own team and has a security system in place. They will heal allies and damage enemies with spikes.
Rainbow Six Siege X: Borderlands and NBA Collabs
Siege is no stranger to crossover content, and this season’s leaks hint at two new collaborations. Mozzie and IQ will be getting skins inspired by Borderlands, and there’s also a smaller NBA crossover coming. Details on the NBA collaboration are still unclear, but it could mean team-themed skins or cosmetics.
New Movement System
Gameplay is also reportedly getting some updates. According to the leaks, players will now be able to sprint while rappelling horizontally, which should make movement more fluid. Additionally, vaulting and falling will now retain momentum, making animations feel more natural and responsive.
- You can sprint with rappels horizontally and can even run around corners while using them.
- Vaulting and falling saves your momentum now.
Rainbow Six Siege X Y10S2 Events: Showdown & Rengoku Return
It looks like Siege is bringing back two fan-favorite events, Showdown and Rengoku, but with some changes. Both events will feature recolored versions of previous skins, while new bundles will be available for various operators.
Oryx, Gridlock, and Flores are getting new bundles for Showdown, while Azami, Deimos, and Echo will get new Rengoku bundles.
Rainbow Six Siege X Esports Team Bundles & Competitive Updates
On the esports side, new team bundles are coming, featuring skins for:
- Cloud9 (Dokkaebi)
- Spacestation (Mira)
- Fnatic (Mute)
- CAG Osaka (Bandit)
- G2 (Zero)
- Furia (Maverick)
- LOUD (Buck).
There was also a planned BDS (Nokk) bundle, but it may be scrapped since BDS has reportedly left Siege esports. Competitive packs are also getting new items for Blackbeard.
JYNKZI Bundle for Mute
A special JYNKZI-themed (content creator) bundle for Mute is reportedly in the works, though images of the cosmetics haven’t surfaced yet.
As exciting as these leaks are, nothing is officially confirmed yet. Ubisoft’s official reveal is happening today at 10 AM PT, and while these leaks might give us an early peek, things could change. So, we suggest taking everything with a grain of salt.
