Rockstar has confirmed the GTA 6 pre-order date and revealed new cover art for the highly awaited open-world game.
Grand Theft Auto 6 has been one of the most talked-about games for years, and that has not changed as its release gets closer. Every official update from Rockstar Games has turned into a major moment, from the first trailer to the reveal of Jason and Lucia, the two main characters leading the story. Fans have been waiting for the next real update, and Rockstar has now given them one.
The hype around GTA 6 is not hard to understand. This is the first new mainline Grand Theft Auto game in more than a decade, and expectations are massive. The return to Vice City, the focus on a modern crime story, and the scale Rockstar is known for have made GTA 6 feel like more than just another big release.

For many players, it is the game they have been waiting for since GTA 5 first launched.
GTA 6 Pre-Orders Start June 25 Across Digital Stores And Select Retailers
Rockstar has officially announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will begin on Thursday, June 25. According to the update shared on X, players will be able to pre-order the game through digital storefronts and at other select retailers.
That is a big update in the GTA 6 rollout, which releases on November 19, 2026. While Rockstar has already confirmed the game itself, opening pre-orders usually means the company is moving into the next major stage of marketing. It also means fans may soon learn more about the different editions, pricing, possible bonuses, and platform-specific details.
“Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers,” the press release reads. “Add Grand Theft Auto VI to your wishlist today on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store to get alerted when pre-orders are live.
“Check out the official cover art revealed in the video above, and also available as downloadable artwork from the Grand Theft Auto VI site.”

Alongside the pre-order date, Rockstar also revealed new GTA 6 cover art. The artwork features the familiar Grand Theft Auto collage style, with Jason and Lucia placed front and center. Around them, the image shows fast cars, bikes, boats, weapons, nightlife, and the sunny Vice City look that has already become a major part of the game’s identity.
For now, Rockstar has only confirmed that GTA 6 pre-orders will go live on June 25 across digital storefronts and select retailers. More details should be shared closer to that date, but this is still one of the biggest official GTA 6 updates so far.
