According to a new report, it looks like Halo Infinite Battle Royale “is also heavily connected to the campaign in a lot of ways.”

This comes from a very reputable insider, Tom Henderson, who has leaked a lot of Call of Duty, Battlefield, and GTA stuff in the past. Earlier today, Henderson tweeted on Twitter saying that Halo Infinite BR has been in development for years and is connected to the story campaign.

“The Halo Infinite Battle Royale is also heavily connected to the campaign in a lot of ways. So avoid BR leaks if you don’t want campaign spoilers. I’m not entirely sure what it means for Halo, but I’d imagine it’s to incentivize people to purchase the full game in some way.

“Just to be clear, I’m not sure if it’s been scrapped on not or when/if it will release, but it’s been in development for years.”

Speaking of Battle Royale, we’ve already seen some of the leaked datamined voice lines from Halo Infinite Technical Test earlier this year that also hinted at the Battle Royale mode coming to the game. However, it was just that – a voice line of the announcer saying “Battle Royale”, which could be for a multiplayer custom game mode.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t confirm that the Battle Royale mode is coming to Halo Infinite at launch or post launch, but it’s interesting to see that 343i taking that route for the franchise now that it’s a live service game.

Recently, some new leaks revealed the first look at some of the weapons, vehicles, and battle pass content, coming to Halo Infinite, including several unseen maps. The game is scheduled to be released later this year in Q4 with no exact release date officially revealed at this time.
