Hosted by Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards has become a platform for showcasing what’s next in the industry, often surprising fans with huge reveals. But this year, things seem extra special, thanks to some cryptic hints from industry insiders.

Insider Hints at Massive Announcements at The Game Awards 2024

Jason Schreier, a respected journalist from Bloomberg, shared some new details on Kinda Funny Games, hinting at what’s to come. “What can I say without getting in trouble?” Jason teased.

“I know about a couple of announcements that are going to be there, and they definitely qualify as big announcements. That said, big announcements are games that won’t be out for years. So I think there’s a good chance that you’ll see one or two teaser trailers for a game that is 2026 or even later.

“There are at least two things that will make you guys react and be like, ‘holy s**t, I can’t believe this thing is here!’ At least two things, I’ll say that,” said Schreier.

Adding to the excitement, VGC’s Editor in Chief, Andy Robinson, also hyped the event on social media earlier this month, writing, “Expecting a very big Game Awards next week. Fire up the hype train.” When asked if this was a guess, Robinson replied, “Definitely not a guess.”

Fans have already begun speculating about what these announcements could be. Some believe we might finally see a Bloodborne PC port, while others are hoping for Days Gone Remastered or even the long-awaited Half-Life 3.
