The House of the Dead 2: Remake has finally received a new announcement trailer and a release window.
It’s been a long time coming, but fans of the iconic rail-shooter series can finally breathe a sigh of relief. MegaPixel Studio and Forever Entertainment have revealed a brand-new trailer for The House of the Dead 2: Remake, along with a much-anticipated release window. Announced back in 2019, this remake has been shrouded in mystery, with little information surfacing—until now.
For those who may not know, The House of the Dead 2 is a sequel to one of the most beloved light-gun arcade games of all time. Originally released in 1998, the game plunges players into a city overrun by “hostile creatures.”
The House of the Dead 2: Remake Release Date Announced
Today, Forever Entertainment finally gave fans something to sink their teeth into: a new trailer for The House of the Dead 2: Remake. While the exact release date remains under wraps, the trailer confirmed a release window of Spring 2025. This marks the first major update since the game’s announcement six years ago.
As described in the game’s official YouTube trailer:
“We’re excited to share the long-awaited news with you: The House of the Dead 2: Remake is coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox, and PlayStation in Spring 2025! The House of the Dead 2: Remake is a sequel to the well-known, popular rail-shooter series. Take on the lone role of secret agent James or join forces with agent Gary in a co-op mode and carry out the mission to neutralize the dangerous creatures standing in your way.”
Additionally, the game is now available for wishlisting on major platform stores, including PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox.

“The House of the Dead 2: Remake is a remake of the second entry in the well-known and popular rail-shooter series. Take on the lone role of a secret agent as James or Gary, or team up in co-op mode to neutralize the dangerous undead monsters standing in your way.”
Story:
“In February 2000, a small city was suddenly overrun by hostile creatures. Two AMS agents, James Taylor and Gary Stewart, were sent to investigate. Upon arrival, they noticed that the situation resembled the Curien Mansion incident from 1998. Determined to uncover the source of the infestation, they began shooting their way through hordes of creatures.”
