A new job listing has popped up that suggests Ubisoft working on an AAA title that exclusive to VR players. Now, this could mean a lot of things.

The job listing is for Narrative Designer (Indeed) at Ubisoft for this new unannounced project. This new project could be an Assassin’s Creed game in VR or it could be a new Splinter Cell title but sadly, in VR. As we all know, there’s no VR product for Microsoft Xbox as of now. So, Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed in VR is most likely not going to happen. The listing describes as:

We are now accepting applications for Narrative Designer – VR [Unannounced Project]. We are building a brand-new team to work on an unannounced AAA VR project. You will work on cutting-edge VR technology, on one of Ubisoft’s greatest IP’s which will be developed across multiple studios. Join us today to shape the future of VR!

Back in 2019, speaking with IGN, Guillemot (Ubisoft boss) revealed that Splinter Cell will happen but not anytime soon. “When you create a game, you have to make sure you come with something different enough from what you did before,” says Guillemot. “Now, there are some people looking at, ah, the brand, taking care of the brand. So at some point, you will see something. I can’t say more than that.

Apart from the listing itself, we don’t have much information about what this new unannounced project is all about. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
