Uncharted movie, one of the major video game film adaptations this year, is getting a Netflix release later this year. The movie stars Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan (Sully), Tati Gabrielle as Braddock, and Taylor Ali as Chloe.
This comes from the website What’s on Netflix. According to their sources, the Uncharted movie will release on Netflix next month on July 15, 2022. The report also claims that this release date is only for the United States, though users can expect a release in more regions in late 2023 or early 2024.
The Uncharted movie was a success for Sony, as it grossed over $400m at the box office. However, the overall reviews from both the audience and the critics were mixed.
Last year, Netflix officially announced that it will house upcoming films from Sony Pictures, thanks to their new deal.
“Starting in 2022, Netflix will be the first US streaming home for Sony Pictures films following their theatrical releases. Get ready for Uncharted, Mobius, Bullet Train & Where the Crawdads Sing, plus future sequels to Venom, Jumanji, Bad Boys & Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse.”
