Bungie is adding new exotic weapons with every season in Destiny 2. Last season (Season of the Undying), we’ve gotten exotics like Eriana’s Vow, Divinity, Leviathan’s Breath, etc, which are really useful in some instances. In Season of Dawn, Bungie added three new exotic weapons that are completely unique and different from anything we’ve gotten before – Bastion, Symmetry, and Devil’s Ruin. But, let’s be honest, while these exotics can be really cool-looking and useful, there are some exotics in Destiny 1 that needs to be returned in Destiny 2.

Exotic Swords

With the latest Corridors of Time puzzle, Bungie had a perfect opportunity to add exotics like swords from Destiny 1. A lot of players were actually hoping for an exotic sword at the end of the quest. But instead, we received Bastion quest which is not what the majority of the community was hoping for.

There were a total of three exotic swords in Destiny 1 with each elemental damage – Solar (Raze-Lighter), Void (Dark-Drinker), and Arc (Bolt-Crasher). Each one of these swords offered a unique perk and animation which immediately made them one of the most favorite sets of exotic weapons in the game.

Ice Breaker

Ice Breaker was an exotic sniper rifle that was introduced in Year 1 of Destiny 1. The reason why it was considered OP inside PvP because of its perk called “No Backpack” which allowed it to regenerate ammo out of thin air.

Now, we do know that in the current Destiny 2 PvP situation, this would not work and would consider way too over-powered to use. But, Bungie could tweak the weapon somehow where it doesn’t change much of the core perks of the weapon and still be fun to use.

No Land Beyond

Another great PvP weapon that has been in our hearts since it was first introduced in Destiny 1. No Land Beyond is a sniper rifle but with Iron Sights (no scope). This cool thing about this weapon was, we were able to equip it in our primary weapon slot (which was not a thing in Destiny 1).

The exotic perk on this weapon is “The Master” which describes, “Increased precision damage. Kills briefly increase damage against the next target.” As Bungie is adding more and more exotics from Destiny 1 to Destiny 2, it would be really amazing if they could add this beast in Destiny 2.

Destiny was released on September 9, 2014, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Destiny 2 was released on September 4, 2017, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It was released later in 2019 on Google Stadia.
