Here are the god rolls for the VS Velocity Baton grenade launcher in Destiny 2, along with how you can unlock it.
Vesper’s Host, the dungeon introduced with Episode: Revenant, has brought with it a new set of Braytech-themed weapons, each with brand new perks and some top-tier perk combinations.
One such weapon is VS Velocity Baton – a Void Area Denial 72 RPM Grenade Launcher. While Area Denial frames aren’t the most viable weapon type in PvP, VS Velocity Baton excels in its role as a PvE monster.

How to Get VS Velocity Baton in Destiny 2
VS Velocity Baton can be obtained by completing the first and third encounters in the Vesper’s Host dungeon. It’s one of six possible drops from the Activation or Corrupted Puppeteer encounters.

Destiny 2 VS Velocity Baton PvE God Roll
The PvE god roll for VS Velocity Baton is a Swiss army knife – crowd control, Elite and Champion burning, and orb generation.

Attrition Orbs is incredibly powerful on an Area Denial Grenade Launcher. Lobbing a burst into a crowd of enemies or a Champion will guarantee at least one orb from the damage ticks. Depending on how you build around your Orbs you can heal, get ability energy back, or even get subclass buffs.
All our important stats such as Reload and Velocity are in the 90’s, and you’ll have constant Grenade uptime and an alternative reload option thanks to Demolitionist. Simple but ridiculously effective.
Destiny 2 VS Velocity Baton PvP God Roll
While again, Area Denial frames aren’t a strong PvP option outside of Control game modes (and even then they struggle), here’s a roll you could bring into the Crucible if you’re absolutely determined to.

Unlike Witherhoard, Area-Denial frames don’t tend to ‘stick’ to targets as easily. You’ll want to shoot where you know an opposing Guardian is going to rush at you, kill them with your Primary weapon to activate Harmony, and then repeat the process with stronger Grenades.
There’s perhaps an alternate version of this that uses Under-Over to halt overconfident Overshield or Woven Mail users, but you’re better off with a different grenade launcher for Crucible in general.
