Bungie appears to be working on a long-requested feature in Destiny 2, according to a new leak.

We are less than a month away from Destiny 2’s next major content drop, Episode Heresy. With the highly anticipated return of the iconic Dreadnaught destination, players can look forward to new bone-themed weapons, two new armor sets, activities, and the Hive taking center stage in the Destiny storyline once again.

Over the past few years, Bungie has introduced some game-changing systems in Destiny 2, like weapon crafting. However, it has also removed some beloved features, such as the Tribute Hall. This once-popular training ground allowed players to test weapons and fine-tune their loadouts without going into a random Lost Sector.

Since its removal, players have consistently asked Bungie to bring it back. Now, according to a new leak from a reliable source, it seems this long-lost feature might finally be making a return.

Is Destiny 2 Getting a Firing Range?

This comes from a well-known Destiny 2 leaker, Liz, who shared some new details on Discord. Liz revealed that their source—the same one behind the “Frontiers” leak—claims Bungie is exploring the idea of bringing back a firing range, as well as Armsday. This shooting range will not be the return of Tribute Hall but a completely new space in the Tower.

According to the leak, “Arms day [is] returning at some point, [as a] weekly event like Iron Banner… not Wednesday every week. Shooting range set up by Banshee. This would be months out so could obviously get scrapped.” Liz added their own speculation, noting that Arms Day might not work the same way it did in Destiny 1.

If this rumor is true, the firing range would provide a dedicated space for players to test their weapons and perfect builds, a feature many have missed for years. However, as with all leaks, it’s best to take this information with a grain of salt, as game development plans can and often do change.

In recent months, other fan-requested features like a ping system and player housing have also been hot topics. Interestingly, Destiny Rising, the mobile spin-off developed by NetEase, already featured these in its closed alpha.
