A new leak claims Minecraft Spicewood is a sequel to Minecraft Dungeons, revealing new biomes and locations.

Minecraft Dungeons was a refreshing take on the Minecraft universe, offering a fun dungeon-crawling adventure instead of the usual sandbox building. The game was well-received, especially by players who enjoyed cooperative play and the mix of classic Minecraft elements with a more action-packed experience. Since its release, fans have been hoping for a follow-up, and it looks like their wish might be coming true.

For a while, rumors of a new Minecraft spin-off, codenamed Spicewood, have been floating around. Earlier this year, leaks suggested it was a new take on the franchise, but there was little information on what kind of game it actually was.

Now, a new leak is claiming that Spicewood is actually a sequel to Minecraft Dungeons, and it’s been in development for over two years.

New Minecraft Spicewood Details Leaked

The latest information comes from X (Twitter) account, X0XLEAK (thanks, Kran), known for sharing datamined information for Marvel Rivals, along with other projects. In the post, they claimed that Spicewood is a direct sequel to Minecraft Dungeons and has been in the works for quite some time.

“It’s a sequel to Minecraft Dungeons and has been in development since at least 2 years,” the post reads.

The leak also revealed some of the game’s main biomes and locations, which include:

  • Honeycomb Fields: Featuring areas like Undermill, Farm, Island, Lake, Fields, and Forest.
  • Desert: Includes a Cliff, Fortress, Mountain, Village, and an Icelagoon.
  • Forest: Contains the Deep Dark Entrance, Outpost Entrance, Witchzone, and Shady Forest.
  • Town: No further details have been shared yet.

Along with this, two images were leaked showcasing the game. One appears to be a logo for Project Spicewood. The second image shows a player exploring a lush, open area with a UI somewhat similar to Minecraft Dungeons.

As exciting as this leak is, it’s always important to take everything with a grain of salt until Mojang officially confirms the details. Previous rumors suggested that Spicewood was a completely new take on Minecraft, but with this new information, it seems more like an expansion of the Dungeons-style gameplay with new areas and mechanics.

As for a release window, older leaks hinted at a 2026 launch, but that remains unconfirmed. If this turns out to be true, are you excited for another Minecraft Dungeons-style game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!!
