Ubisoft just made a huge reveal about Rainbow Six Siege X, and the excitement is through the roof. Today’s showcase officially announced a brand-new 6v6 mode, operator reworks, and even a Closed Beta for players to try it out early.
A central feature of this update is the introduction of a new 6v6 game mode called “Dual Front,” which represents a notable expansion from the traditional 5v5 format. This mode is currently available for testing through a Closed Beta, allowing players to provide valuable feedback to the development team.

How to Sign Up for the Rainbow Six Siege X Closed Beta
Getting into the Siege X Closed Beta isn’t as simple as pressing a download button, you have to earn access. Ubisoft is doing Twitch Drops, which means you’ll need to watch certain Twitch streams to get in.
- Watch an eligible Twitch channel for at least 30 minutes while the drops are active.
- Manually claim your Beta access once you hit the time requirement.
- Check your email: you’ll get an invitation that takes you to the Closed Beta website.
- Choose your platform (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC via Ubisoft Connect).
- Confirm your selection: Ubisoft will send a second email with access details.
- Can’t find your invite? Check your spam or promotional folder just in case.
Rainbow Six Siege X Closed Beta Start and End Dates
Ubisoft is running the Siege X Closed Beta for one week, so if you get access, make sure to use your time wisely. The start and end times vary by region, so here’s a breakdown:
- Starts: March 13, 2025 at 19:00 UTC (2 PM ET / 11 AM PT / 7 PM GMT / 8 PM CET)
- Ends: March 19, 2025 at 19:00 UTC (2 PM ET / 11 AM PT / 7 PM GMT / 8 PM CET)
One key thing to note: matchmaking won’t be available right away. You’ll have to wait until after the Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase event ends before you can jump in.
Rainbow Six Siege X Closed Beta System Requirements
If you’re playing on PC, you’ll need to make sure your setup can handle the game. Ubisoft has listed these minimum requirements for the Closed Beta:
- OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit only)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 @ 3.6 GHz, Intel Core i3-8100 @ 3.6 GHz, or better
- RAM: 8 GB (dual-channel mode required)

Ubisoft has also mentioned that some gaming laptops may work, but only if they meet the same performance levels as the minimum specs listed above.
Rainbow Six Siege X Closed Beta Available Platforms
The Closed Beta will be available on the following platforms:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC (Ubisoft Connect)
If you’re on older hardware like PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, unfortunately, the beta won’t be accessible on those platforms.
How to Sign Up for the Siege Cup Closed Beta
Ubisoft is also launching a special Siege Cup Beta, which is a squad-based event. This one works a little differently because only the Squad Leader needs to register. Here’s how it works:
- Go to the Siege Cup Closed Beta website and select Ubisoft Connect PC.
- Click Register and log into your Ubisoft account.
- You’ll get a confirmation email once you’re signed up.
- If selected, you’ll receive another email with instructions on what to do next.
- Once confirmed, your teammates can be registered in-game just before the Siege Cup starts.
Same as before, check your spam folder if you don’t get the emails. Ubisoft isn’t automatically letting everyone in, so signing up doesn’t guarantee access, you’ll have to wait for confirmation.
Apart from that, movement mechanics within the game are set to evolve, with players now able to sprint while rappelling horizontally, including maneuvering around corners. Furthermore, vaulting and falling actions will preserve player momentum, leading to more fluid and dynamic gameplay experiences.
