With Rite of the Nine now active, several dungeons, Prophecy, Ghosts of the Deep, and Spire of the Watcher, have been updated with refreshed loot. One of the more unique returning weapons is Wilderflight, a Void grenade launcher with some standout perk options.
Wilderflight is a Double Fire Void Special grenade launcher from the Spire of the Watcher dungeon. It doesn’t play like most launchers and can slot nicely into damage rotations or ability-based builds depending on how you roll it.

How to Get Wilderflight in Destiny 2
To get Wilderflight, you’ll need to run the Spire of the Watcher dungeon during the Rite of the Nine event. You can attune your loot drops at the Emissary in the event social space, this works just like the Into the Light loot system.
Each weapon in the event also has a short quest that rewards you with one guaranteed drop after a dungeon clear.
Recommended loadout tips for Spire of the Watcher:
- Use Lord of Wolves with a machine gun for the opening encounters
- Bring The Queenbreaker for the Harpy boss
- Sleeper Simulant is solid for the final fight
Like all event weapons, Wilderflight comes with access to the Gravity Well origin trait, which gathers nearby ammo when you reload.
Destiny 2 Wilderflight PvP God Roll
While Double Fire grenade launchers aren’t the best weapons to bring into PvP, here’s the best roll if you’re absolutely determined to bring this thing into the Crucible.
