Here’s how to get the Greasy Luck glaive in Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine, along with our recommended PvE and PvP god rolls.
The Rite of the Nine event has brought refreshed loot pools to three dungeons: Prophecy, Ghosts of the Deep, and Spire of the Watcher. Among the standout returning weapons is Greasy Luck, a Solar glaive with new perk combinations that make it more flexible and rewarding in both PvE and PvP.
Greasy Luck is a Rapid-Fire frame Solar glaive from the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon. While it’s more useful in PvE content, a few of the new perks give it just enough of a boost to be viable, or at least entertaining, in Crucible as well.
Weapon | Type | Element | Ammo | Archetype | RPM | Source | Craftable? |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Greasy Luck | Glaive | Solar | Special | Rapid-Fire | 80 | Rite of the Nine | No |
How to Get Greasy Luck in Destiny 2
You can earn Greasy Luck by completing the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon during the Rite of the Nine event. Just like the Into the Light update, this event uses a loot attunement system. You can attune your dungeon drops at the Emissary in the event’s dedicated social space.
Each weapon in the Rite of the Nine lineup also has a short weapon-specific quest, which gives you one guaranteed drop when you complete the dungeon.
Recommended loadout tips for Ghosts of the Deep:
- Bring The Queenbreaker for the final boss fight
- Lord of Wolves and a machine gun work well for the early encounters and the Knight boss
Every Rite of the Nine weapon, including Greasy Luck, also features the new Gravity Well origin trait. When you reload, it pulls in any nearby ammo bricks.
