Roger Clark, voice actor behind Red Dead Redemption 2’s Arthur Morgan, is part of Bungie’s upcoming extraction shooter, Marathon, The Game Post has learned.
Bungie’s upcoming extraction shooter, Marathon, is finally back in the spotlight after months of silence. Earlier this year, the studio confirmed the game’s delay past its original September 23, 2025, release date, following a Closed Alpha that received mixed-to-negative feedback from players. The delay came following the huge art theft controversy and reports from former staffers highlighting internal leadership issues.
Now, Bungie has released the Marathon Closed Technical Test this week. It runs from October 22 to 28 and gives a limited number of players access to the game under NDA. According to the official details, this test features three maps, five runner shells, proximity voice chat, solo queue. and more.

Bungie has already confirmed several notable voice actors for Marathon, revealed through the stunning cinematic trailer directed by Alberto Mielgo. The cast includes Erica Lindbeck (Glitch), Elias Toufexis (Void and also the game’s voice director), Nika Futterman (Blackbird), Donnla Hughes (ONI), and Ben Starr (narrator). Many fans believe Starr voices Durandal, the rampant AI from the original Marathon trilogy, though Bungie hasn’t officially confirmed that yet.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s Roger Clark Joins Bungie’s Marathon Cast
The Game Post has now learned and can confirm that another big name has joined the voice cast for Marathon: Roger Clark, best known for his unforgettable role as Arthur Morgan in Rockstar‘s Red Dead Redemption 2. According to information we’ve received (and verified), Clark plays a character named General Davic Reed in Marathon, although Bungie hasn’t publicly revealed him just yet.
It’s unclear to what extent Clark’s voice will be featured in the game, whether it’s just a few lines tied to background lore or if General Reed will appear as a recurring character with a larger presence throughout the game’s story.
Roger Clark’s work as Arthur Morgan is still considered one of the best performances in any video game. After Red Dead Redemption 2, he took on a role in Fort Solis, and now he’s bringing that same weight and presence to Bungie’s Marathon.
As for the rest of the game, we’ve previously reported exclusively that Marathon is expected to launch with a base price of around $40. We also broke down details on the game’s roster of playable Runners, including Glitch, Void, Blackbird, Locus, Aux, and others, along with their abilities.

Since the Closed Alpha, Marathon has gone through some major changes based on player feedback and internal testing. As we reported last month, Bungie has made the time-to-kill faster, reworked healing, introduced a new Codex progression system, and made several other gameplay and visual improvements. You can check out our full report here for a detailed look at what’s changed.
Today, we reported that Bungie has extended the duration of the Closed Technical Test for Marathon by two additional days, moving the end date to October 29, 2025. Bungie has said it plans to share a full development update on Marathon in the “coming months after the Closed Technical Test.”
