AdHoc Studio’s animated superhero adventure Dispatch has officially sold over 1 million copies just 10 days after launch.

AdHoc Studio’s debut title, Dispatch, is officially a hit. The studio confirmed today that the game has crossed 1 million copies sold in just 10 days since release, a big moment for the team that’s made up of former Telltale developers.

In a social media post, AdHoc kept things characteristically light-hearted. “2 days. 80 million copies sold. Would’ve been nice,” the post read. “We sold 1 million in 10 days, though. Still pretty good.”

Dispatch launched on October 22 for PlayStation 5 and PC, with the first two episodes out at release. It quickly became one of Steam’s surprise hits, earning “Very Positive” reviews from players and praise for its animation, voice acting, and clever writing.

The game stars Aaron Paul as Robert “Mecha Man” Robertson, a former hero now running a dispatch office that assigns ex-villains to emergencies across the city. He’s joined by an impressive cast that includes Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part 2, Critical Role), Jeffrey Wright (Westworld, The Batman), Matthew Mercer, and Erin Yvette, along with guest appearances from creators and streamers like Jacksepticeye and MoistCr1TiKaL, who lend their voices to supporting roles.

Since launch, AdHoc has steadily rolled out new episodes each week, with the finale set for November 12. That regular schedule seems to be paying off, keeping players coming back and generating strong word of mouth.

The 1 million sales milestone is especially impressive considering the game’s modest $29.99 price tag and relatively small marketing push. It’s clear the mix of heartfelt storytelling and humor has resonated with fans who’ve been craving something different from big-budget superhero games.
