Microsoft has revealed a bunch of new titles during their first Inside Xbox stream earlier today. One of the games revealed was from EA – Madden NFL 21. According to the stream, the game will support Xbox Series X’s new feature – Smart Delivery, which, in reality, seems like a limited-time offer from EA.
According to the EA Press Release details, it looks like Madden NFL 21 will support Series X’s Smart Delivery for players who purchase the game on Xbox One by December 31, 2020, and upgrade to Xbox Series X by March 31, 2021.
“The development teams at EA are always pushing the envelope to leverage new technology in exciting ways that benefit their fans and we’re thrilled by the work they’ve done in optimizing Madden NFL 21 for Xbox Series X,” said Sarah Bond, Head of Xbox Partnerships and Business Development. “We’re delighted to be partners as we usher in the next generation of gaming.”
“To receive the offer, players must purchase Madden NFL 21 on Xbox One by December 31, 2020, and upgrade to Xbox Series X by March 31, 2021.”
It’s no surprise that this comes from EA considering the past behoviour in titles like Star Wars Battlefront. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
